Isn't it Tanworth? In case people end up going to Tamworth

Dadaismus (Dada), Wednesday, 18 August 2004 10:34 (twenty-one years ago)

"Tribal Gathering"

MikeyG (MikeyG), Wednesday, 18 August 2004 10:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Damn! I was there last weekend!

Marcello Carlin, Wednesday, 18 August 2004 10:39 (twenty-one years ago)

I've been too, several years back. Lovely village. When is the next London based Nick Drake night? There was a good one at Spitz a couple of years back and a (much larger) night at the Barbican.

MikeyG (MikeyG), Wednesday, 18 August 2004 10:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh yes, apparently it is Tanworth. Which would explain why I can't find 'Tamworth in Arden' on the interweb.

I've been to Tamworth. My grandparents used to live in Amington.

Do you know Amb3r Bus1ness V1llage?

Madchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 18 August 2004 14:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Julian Cope should attend the proceedings and make people scared.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 18 August 2004 14:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Make people sacred shurely?

Dadaismus (Dada), Wednesday, 18 August 2004 14:42 (twenty-one years ago)

If that means stuffing them all in a wicker man and lighting them on fire...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 18 August 2004 14:44 (twenty-one years ago)

As Jesus said to Mary on the cross: "Mummy, I'm sacred"

Dadaismus (Dada), Wednesday, 18 August 2004 14:48 (twenty-one years ago)

It's the locals you have to feel for; a load of hippies turning up, & doing poos in their gardens.

MikeyG (MikeyG), Wednesday, 18 August 2004 14:51 (twenty-one years ago)

I've been to Tamworth. It's not what it used to be. My mother comes from Glascote. Her brother lives in Amington. What is the Amb3r Bus1ness V1llage?

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Wednesday, 18 August 2004 16:37 (twenty-one years ago)

I've had to send a few boxes there by Parcelfarce recently for work. Nothing very special.

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 19 August 2004 09:23 (twenty-one years ago)

I like the info in that website's 'tip' section:

How about a nice day out in Birmingham?

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Thursday, 19 August 2004 09:56 (twenty-one years ago)

A nice day out in Birmingham would be perfectly possible.

hobart paving (hobart paving), Thursday, 19 August 2004 09:59 (twenty-one years ago)

I am disappointed, Madchen.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Thursday, 19 August 2004 13:44 (twenty-one years ago)

I was invited, to play!

the bellefox, Thursday, 19 August 2004 15:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I can just see The Pinefox, perched on a gravestone, strumming away, surrounded by enraptured Drakeophiles swaying gently in the breeze from the M40.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Friday, 20 August 2004 09:04 (twenty-one years ago)

I like Madchen's Parcelfarce. It is very apt.

MarkH (MarkH), Friday, 20 August 2004 09:09 (twenty-one years ago)

I cannot claim it as my own. I first saw it here: What are we waiting for from Parcelforce?

Madchen (Madchen), Friday, 20 August 2004 11:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Parcelfox? Persilfox?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 20 August 2004 11:42 (twenty-one years ago)

heh, parcelforce customer services told us we should use another carrier, when we (i.e. R0ya1 Mai1 unit) rang up to try and track a lost parcel!

Vicky (Vicky), Friday, 20 August 2004 11:43 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't really strum much, Peter.

the persilfox, Friday, 20 August 2004 15:43 (twenty-one years ago)

OK, giving it some welly.
