in london, clubs-wise, i would have to say that tiger tiger in leicester square is a good place to go. but this can be about anywhere really, it doesnt have to be a club or bar.

dickvandyke (dickvandyke), Thursday, 19 August 2004 12:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Tiger Tiger anywhere is a good place to go if you don't care what you are pulling. 21 Piccadilly in Manchester used to have a bit of a reputation and I certainly succeeded (2nd place in a How Fast Can You Pull contest, ho ho) - is it still there?

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 19 August 2004 12:41 (twenty-one years ago)

collide-o-scope at kings college?

Yeah, right.

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 19 August 2004 12:47 (twenty-one years ago)

New Cross Venue.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 19 August 2004 12:47 (twenty-one years ago)

New York City.

wishful thinking.

cºzen (Cozen), Thursday, 19 August 2004 12:56 (twenty-one years ago)

dickvandyke (dickvandyke), Thursday, 19 August 2004 12:56 (twenty-one years ago)

any place named "Lucky's" "Victory's" "Scammer's" or ... "Applebee's"

dave225 (Dave225), Thursday, 19 August 2004 13:11 (twenty-one years ago)

When I lived near Coventry I used to go too often to the Colosseum, which had a little stage bit at the back that you could dance on, and people would come up and try to pull you all the time but if you didn't like them you could just push them off the stage. It was only about two feet high, so they didn't really hurt themselves but they got discouraged enough usually not to try again. The Coloseum is also great because that visor-wearing fool from A got shot at there.

Cathy (Cathy), Thursday, 19 August 2004 13:44 (twenty-one years ago)

we used to go out dancing at club x at the mean fiddler and usually one of my friends would take someone home, but it's gone now.

i would never go to tiger tiger. and have ruined plans of a group of 30 italians by refusing to go (they had more fun at the other place in the end, so it was ok)

colette (a2lette), Thursday, 19 August 2004 13:46 (twenty-one years ago)

collide-o-scope at kings college

Man alive, that place is horrible.

Eyeball Kicks (Eyeball Kicks), Thursday, 19 August 2004 14:04 (twenty-one years ago)

haha, ive been there. it was kind of rubbish. still, at least it wasnt after-skool

david acid (gareth), Thursday, 19 August 2004 14:06 (twenty-one years ago)

I really enjoyed collide-a-scope the two times I went, though the second time my friend fucked up her marriage by snogging someone there. So that qualifies it, I guess.

Markelby (Mark C), Thursday, 19 August 2004 14:06 (twenty-one years ago)

It may be, but I think it is statistically my most successful pulling spot of all time. I am faintly ashamed of this.

The stuff that collects on the floor of that room is the most disgusting substance in the world. I've slipped on it on far too many occasions. I met a nice American girl there who did a Florence Nightingale thing on me when I slipped on the dancefloor. We danced to the Pixies and she was very nice, but she was moving back to Vermont :(

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 19 August 2004 14:08 (twenty-one years ago)

This is all between the ages of 17-19, incidentally. I wouldn't go near that place these days. Erm, except for the last incident, which was only about a year ago.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 19 August 2004 14:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Matt, what is it with you and motor skills at clubs?

suzy (suzy), Thursday, 19 August 2004 14:38 (twenty-one years ago)

those of you attending the dogs on Saturday really should take a few hours to go to Charlie Chans.

Porkpie (porkpie), Thursday, 19 August 2004 14:40 (twenty-one years ago)

The Kells in Allston.

Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Thursday, 19 August 2004 14:45 (twenty-one years ago)

I think it may have something to do with 'beer', Suzy. Mostly the fact that it is all over the shiny polished floor of this particular indie shitehole making getting around kind of difficult. I'm not the only person to have taken a drop there either.

Chris you are a bad man. I've heard about that place...

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 19 August 2004 14:48 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd say here in Denver the meatmarkety place is CLUB RA AND THE PHAROAH'S LOUNGE! Never been, but man.. DO I WANNA.

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Thursday, 19 August 2004 14:48 (twenty-one years ago)

not for me....but the few times i went there it was like an orgy for college kids.

Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Thursday, 19 August 2004 14:49 (twenty-one years ago)

this is the most disturbing thread ever. please retire the word "pull" in all its forms k thks bye

oops (Oops), Thursday, 19 August 2004 15:08 (twenty-one years ago)

I have also been to Collide-O-Scope. The fire alarm went off and I got trapped on the staircase with a bass player who was telling me that his band had just got signed to a major and were being whisked around the chic clubs of London, including a very VIP establishment where he swears he saw popular newscaster Trevor McDonald snorting cocaine off of a marble countertop.

adam. (nordicskilla), Thursday, 19 August 2004 15:14 (twenty-one years ago)

i've never actually been to this collide-o-scope.. but it sounds kinda fun now!

ken c (ken c), Thursday, 19 August 2004 15:17 (twenty-one years ago)

nice view of the thames, too, i hear.

ken c (ken c), Thursday, 19 August 2004 15:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Ritzys in Bolton. If it wasn't cool enough already, the Hit Man & Her made it thus.

Got chucked out for shagging I did. On the floor. Beverley.

MikeyG (MikeyG), Thursday, 19 August 2004 15:18 (twenty-one years ago)

"she's blind and I'm helping her across the dancefloor!"

Porkpie (porkpie), Thursday, 19 August 2004 15:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Please say you actually said that.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 19 August 2004 15:21 (twenty-one years ago)

My friend got a handjob in the Roxy in Bury, which was a also a favoured Hit Man and Her venue. PLease note - friend means 'a friend' not 'me'.

Dave B (daveb), Thursday, 19 August 2004 15:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Hit Man and Her!!!

adam. (nordicskilla), Thursday, 19 August 2004 15:33 (twenty-one years ago)

A hand-job's nothing, northern girls go all the way if you tempt them with chips.

MikeyG (MikeyG), Thursday, 19 August 2004 15:33 (twenty-one years ago)

OI!! you need to chuck in a battered sausage too

Porkpie (porkpie), Thursday, 19 August 2004 15:35 (twenty-one years ago)

At what point in the evening's uh festivities do you deploy the battered sausage, Chris?

suzy (suzy), Thursday, 19 August 2004 15:37 (twenty-one years ago)

along withthe chips potty brain

Porkpie (porkpie), Thursday, 19 August 2004 15:38 (twenty-one years ago)

in my experience, they take all your chips and leave you with a battered sausage.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 19 August 2004 15:41 (twenty-one years ago)

RJG is korrekt! ;)

suzy (suzy), Thursday, 19 August 2004 15:44 (twenty-one years ago)
