This post is probably of interest to only one other poster. But nevertheless the Bees royally whupped the asses of the Modboys (or whatever Paul Weller based nickname Woking have) at the weekend while I was otherwise engaged in drinking.

Madchen is from Woking as I recall.....

Never been to watch Barnet, but I remember Underhill featuring in a youth club car treasure hunt when I was seventeen. The clue which took us there was "Beryl drives a Vauxhall to the Conference"...there being a Beryl Underhill at the church where the youth club met.

At least the O's (hmm, lower division London club trend is starting to appear here) are in the Football League. They read yoiu results out on the radio. They are in Metro. Conference fans (which I thought I would never lower myself to be again) are forever stuck trying to glean information off of other peoples back pages, hidden in the small print that even insurance companies aren't allowed to use any more. And with only one team going back up we will be there forever.

When the high point of your season is getting into the 3rd round of the FA cup you know its bad.

Chesterfield have played Rangers once by the way Ally, they beat your boys in a two leg semi-final on the way to winning the Anglo-Scottish cup in, erm 1982 iirc. I was at the home leg, Rangers were rubbish.
