are you going to climb the fence and join in?

MarkH (MarkH), Saturday, 21 August 2004 17:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Did I had one of those death slides rigged up, I probably could. But I object to the bass.

I can now hear Woos and Cheering - it's like Vinnie Jones and his Bacardi pals have moved in next door :(

how low can he go?

MarkH (MarkH), Saturday, 21 August 2004 18:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Mark[elby], I would adore it if you could find some way of joining in the festivities! Gate crashing would be highly appreciated on this end.

"Smoove Jazz renditions of Latin Classics"? That sounds vaguely Muzak-meets-Herb-Alpert-and-the-Tijuana-Brass. Hm. I think he'd be better off just playing some of his band's music, really. As for the loudness -- how loud can such a party get? Is the conversation raucous?

Oh. Damn. I send my apologies and sympathies across the Atlantic.

Simon LeBon's wife is preternaturally attractive.

Here, with their three daughters....

Is it sad that I know which one of those daughters is Amber, which one is Saffron, and which one is Tallulah? No, wait -- I can answer that question on my own.

As for Yasmin -- I would kill to look like that, yeah. PLUS, she's very sharp and quick-witted, and is good with the fans.

(l-r: Saffron, Yasmin, Tallulah, Amber. There you go.)

my friend knocked a tray of wineglasses over on yasmin le bon last fall. we almost died from embarrassment, but she was extremely gracious.

lauren (laurenp), Saturday, 21 August 2004 20:10 (twenty-one years ago)

was there wine in them?

s1ocki (slutsky), Saturday, 21 August 2004 20:10 (twenty-one years ago)

yes! red wine!

lauren (laurenp), Saturday, 21 August 2004 20:18 (twenty-one years ago)

apart from the clothes, they look decidedly average. I see much nicer looking lasses every day walking down Cornmarket Street in Oxford.

MarkH (MarkH), Saturday, 21 August 2004 21:51 (twenty-one years ago)

lauren, that story is magnificent. Yay Yasmin!

Please post pictures of these "lasses who walk down Cornmarket Street in Oxford" so I may decide if I would also kill to look like them.

(This message brought to you by someone who has a big and ugly Roman nose, large and puffy lips, round and cartoonish face, and who wishes she had finer, more delicate facial features. Um, yeah.)

No gate-crashing, I'm afraid. I came back from the wedding I was at last night at about 1.30am, but it seemed that the party was over. I was a bit tipsy, and I'd already decided to gate-crash if it was still going on. Oh well.

Markelby (Mark C), Sunday, 22 August 2004 10:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Very lame. This reminds me of back in the day, when Simon started out as my favorite and then he had that yacht accident that made him look like a chump.

But I object to the bass.
