New reality-TV show on IFC following a group of NYU film students as they work on their second-year thesis films.

First question: Anyone seen it or anticipating>

Second question: Should I expect film school students to be more or less annoying than an average Real World cast member?

Have you seen the most recent Real World cast, s1ocki (particularly Sarah)?

Place your bets for the first cast member to jump off the roof of the Tisch building

wow that gawker post is in surprisingly poor taste. although the olsen twins joke at the end was kind of funny.

Sarah

Sarah is a 23 year-old born and raised Floridian. Sarah just graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, GA and plans to attend the University of Florida School of Law in the fall. Sarah isn't afraid to use her sex appeal to get what she wants. She is most attracted to bad boys who are witty, independent, athletic and a challenge. She's highly opinionated and ready to debate at a drop of a hat. Sarah struggles with her weight and has overcome an eating disorder.

two of my ex-boyfriends went to nyu film school. i couldn't get through a full minute of this show.

I went to film school. It would require a team of 8 to make me watch this show. And 3 of them would lack noses by the end of the struggle.

One woman describes her student film as "Ghost World" meets "Requiem For A Dream."

miloauckerman (miloauckerman), Monday, 13 September 2004 21:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Sarah is attracted to dopey frat boys.

they should drop pretenses and try to do this at usc film school. watch film school kids aspire to be fine purveyors of hollywood crap.

bill stevens (bscrubbins), Monday, 13 September 2004 21:00 (twenty-one years ago)

don't worry bill, there are enough nyu filmies aspiring to do that already.

I'm in film school, and I swear to all present that I'm billions of times less annoying than anybody on that show.

My professor wrote the second one, and an annoying girl I know worked on the first one, so this is something of a moral quandery.

albeit spelled correctly.

My impression after two weeks - if your family didn't benefit heavily from Dubya's tax breaks, you should not be going to NYU film school. Holy shit that looks like a miserable existence.

The shy, introverted girl is doomed, Vincenzo the wacky Italian's going to explode, 'artsy' post-riot grrl is just going to annoy everyone to death.

I went to film school and I was surprised to find that there were more down-to-earth types than pretentious bastards there, I expected the opposite. I had a blast, it was always fun working on student films.
