Chicago Sun-Times story.

n/a (Nick A.), Monday, 20 September 2004 13:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Excerpts from the story in the Red Eye (Sun-Times tabloid):

"After the wedding couple exchanged platinum bands, the guests dined on a spread of chicken tenders, crab cakes, ribs, and Waldorf salad, the magazine said.
And fo the newlywed's first dance? Superstar Britney and her professional dancer hubby chose the old prom hit "Lights" by Journey - played on a boombox, the Star reported."

Nathalie (stevie nixed), Wednesday, 8 November 2006 12:14 (nineteen years ago)

I'm not in no fight (well, not intentionally). Also Stan very not OTM, as Britney, K-Fed and teh babies are real people too, so opinions on marriage breakdown and the effects on their kids apply to them too, especially when that's brought up as part of the conversation.

Disagreeing with someone's viewpoint does not necessarily mean you're fighting.

BBC reduced to trawling thru non-entity webpages for snappy judgements:

Sadly for Federline, the majority of people writing on the internet already seem to have sided with his soon-to-be-former wife.

"Britney Spears got rid of 150 pounds of dead weight," wrote Steve on his Myspace blog. "She got rid of Kevin Federline".

"Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! Ring the bells and release the doves!" added Wanda on her Livespace page.

However, others were slightly more considerate.

"I will never celebrate the ending of a marriage," wrote Someboy0716 on the message boards at popjustice.com.

"However, I will say I much prefer Britney without K-Fed and I can't wait for her new music".

Somebody at the Beeb got paid for their time there. Or maybe it was knocked up by the cleaner oer a lunchbreak.

Madonna? Christ, she fucked everyone and then some more. That'd definitely be the perfect one to talk to. Actually the paths aren't that dissimilar: they both had babies with dancers. So who's next for Brit Brit? An older actor?

i would just like to say by the media doing all this and showing people life lets young woman today learn to run their mouths about anything and most of the time it's ok but when it gets to really life situations of girls that want to have dreams people would look at them differnt and what could they do beside invent the first me yourself we should all learn to be right to keep the world alive be real theres still real people with dreams out here

er... yeah! (or maybe No!)

StanM, Monday, 5 March 2007 07:44 (nineteen years ago)

She felt he had deserted her and left her to bring up their two children on her own.

All the lines are hilarious in that article but this one is just... NOES. Britney, you have a legion of nannies, bring two kids up "on your own" is a bit of an exaggeration.

BRITNEY Spears has flipped her lid in rehab, trying to hang herself with a bedsheet after screaming "I am the anti-christ" to frightened staff.

She made the demonic cry after scrawling the devil's number "666" across her head.
