Who do you hate? Why?

Dan Perry '08 (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 13:51 (twenty-one years ago)

the smell of ketchup left on a plate for 24 hours. it hardens into a weird gel and reeks of sweet sweet death.

Emilymv (Emilymv), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 13:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Dan Perry '08 (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 13:57 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm too full of hatred to explain why

mookieproof (mookieproof), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 13:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I hate an old ex-friend of mine who is a complete fuckwit!

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 13:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Ma$e (always thought he was rubbish but 'Welcome Back' has been in my head a lot the last few days even tho IT'S RUBBISH)

teh pow! (blueski), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 13:58 (twenty-one years ago)

myself, for reading bad.

Peter Watts (peterw), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 13:59 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't hate anyone. It just doesn't seem worth it. The last person I hated was c*l*m, which is what brought it home to me that it's a waste of time. I don't even hate thatcher anymore.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 13:59 (twenty-one years ago)

hippies. their so-called political beliefs are laughable in that they are rarely educated conclusions but instead empty meaningless platitudes they are echoing after hearing some loser in a jam band pontificating between bong hits.

Emilymv (Emilymv), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 13:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Most people. No real reason.

Craig Gilchrist, Tuesday, 21 September 2004 13:59 (twenty-one years ago)

American right-wing fuckheads cos they're voting Bush back in

teh pow! (blueski), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 14:00 (twenty-one years ago)

I try not to hate anyone because I think it only engenders bitterness and ill-health (mental and physical) in the hater. However I cannot help but people who display ignorance, prejudice, small-mindedness and reliance on received wisdom because they generally not only choose to limit their own world but also try and reign-in the worlds of those they come into contact with.

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 14:00 (twenty-one years ago)

I hate people who are proud of their ignorance. I'm thinking specifically of hillbillies I occasionally come in contact with, who try to make you feel small for having an education or reading a newspaper. "We don't take to kindly to none of that .. booklearnin' 'round here."

dave225 (Dave225), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 14:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 14:07 (twenty-one years ago)

i used to think that i hated the little old man in the great adventure ads, but he has grown on me.

scott seward (scott seward), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 14:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Noisy drunks

The plank who sits next to me 'discreetly' reading my emails. Twat. What makes him think I don't notice? Ha ha, my colleague who sits nearby clocked him reading my mails over my shoulder and sent me one in size 30 font saying "Seen enough specky?"

Well, it made me laugh.

Rumpy Pumpkin (rumpypumpkin), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 14:07 (twenty-one years ago)

aren't those just the cartoon hillbillys on the simpsons? nobody has actually said the above to you in your lifetime, have they?

scott seward (scott seward), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 14:09 (twenty-one years ago)

No one. There are plenty of people I dislike but no one who I spend enough time with, or has had enough of an effect on my life to provoke full-on hatred. There's one person who maybe comes close, but he has been out of my life for so long that he doesn't provoke much more than a bit of derisive mockery whenever he comes up in conversation.

Actually, scratch all that. Martin Keown.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 14:09 (twenty-one years ago)

i had the ppl that kicked a puppy around a park like a football, resulting in brain damage & being blind in one eye, resulting in it having to be put down.

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 14:10 (twenty-one years ago)

remember to say why Dadaismus, tho it's pretty obvious on this occasion

x-post

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 14:10 (twenty-one years ago)

I was just thinking yesterday about someone who tried to fuck with my life something awful, and I realized I don't even hate her. I just don't have the energy for it.

Although I currently hate government bureaucracy because it's making it difficult for my mom to get her medication, and the last thing I need is someone making it difficult for me to take care of my parents.

Kerry (dymaxia), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 14:10 (twenty-one years ago)

so glad you corrected that pinx0r

teh pow! (blueski), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 14:11 (twenty-one years ago)

people who are wrong about things but insist they're right and won't listen. because it annoys me.

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 14:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Why do I hate Tony Blair? How long have you got? A couple of days?

Ian Paisley = bastard

Dadaismus (Dada), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 14:12 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't think I really hate anybody. At least not for too long.

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 14:14 (twenty-one years ago)

I've hated my last ex-boyfriend intensely for the last two years but it might finally be abating now. It's much easier not to hate people, even if the hate is so richly deserved.

Actually I might hate those puppy kickers now so nm.

Laura E (laurae55), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 14:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Jeff P0well and numerous other tabloid sports hacks

because of the way they distort facts and give a pompous, xenophobic opinion whilst purporting it to be absolute truth

(also applies to numerous other journalists and politicians)

teh pow! (blueski), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 14:18 (twenty-one years ago)

teh pow! (blueski), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 14:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't hate people for long, as I try to remind myself that assholes actually have to live with themselves, and this strikes my as just punishment.

Colin Meeder (Mert), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 14:21 (twenty-one years ago)

People who assume that the Bush-voters are right-wing fuckheads, as opposed to scared / disenchanted with a Democratic party that couldn't organise shit / fallen into one of the two grooves of that have replaced the spectrum of American discourse.

Because they're guilty of the same lazy dismissals that they (rightly) despise the right for.

Adam Wayne (AdamWayne), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 14:22 (twenty-one years ago)

was waiting for that

teh pow! (blueski), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 14:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Also: the Right, as manifest in the present government of the United States of America.

Because: what part of "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal" do you not understand, fucker?

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 15:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Just stay home, then.

TOMBOT, Tuesday, 21 September 2004 16:50 (twenty-one years ago)

i don't consider it wise to think of the world as being a place full of 'pure evil'. ask yourself 'what is evil'. i'm not comfortable thinking of Buscho as 'evil' for example, I just think they've had their turn now let someone else fuck things up, it's only fair under the circumstances...

teh pow! (blueski), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 16:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Are you mad? How can I get fresh tomatoes for sauce if I don't go out?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 16:51 (twenty-one years ago)

and who is to say whether or not there are people doing 'wonderful' things everyday in just as much quantity as people doing 'bad' things. impossible to tell, but i like to think of it that way - if only people weren't so negative/pessimistic so much - maybe THAT'S part of the problem...

teh pow! (blueski), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 16:52 (twenty-one years ago)

anyway tomorrow i'm gonna drop an anvil on Peter Mandelson's head

teh pow! (blueski), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 16:52 (twenty-one years ago)

cinniblount (James Blount), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 16:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Most people are okay, but I'd still err on the side of caution.

cinniblount (James Blount), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 16:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't harbor a lot of hate against the ninnies and the twits. Mainly I'm just too freaking tired of having to deal with Them and their drivel to even expend more energy on carrying grudges. I'd rather just activate the Doomsday Machine and let the mutant cockroaches take over.

Can I join SPECTRE now? I think this really needs to happen.

Gator Magoon (Chris Barrus), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 21:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Jon Lovitz is one of my favourite actors! How can anyone hate him?

Kevin Gilchrist (Mr Fusion), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 21:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Gator Magoon (Chris Barrus), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 22:23 (twenty-one years ago)

My ex-boyfriend. I keep hoping that the rage will just go away, but it sneaks up on me at the oddest moment, and...

Oh wait, I feel a self pity moment coming on.

::switches to wank fantasy::

Pete moans and tries to buck his hips again. Hurt me, it’s OK. I deserve it.

Carl shakes his head again, understanding the invitation. Instead he slowly reaches down with the hand that isn’t tracing swirls across the expanse of pale skin beneath him, and undoes his own belt, his flies, and slides it inside his boxers.

Much better, phew!

Danger Whore (kate), Wednesday, 22 September 2004 07:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Danger Whore (kate), Wednesday, 22 September 2004 08:45 (twenty-one years ago)

OK, I have a very specific hate... against the guy who backed into my car (which was parked) and totaled the driver's side door, broke the window, etc. etc. Fucking hell.

Gator Magoon (Chris Barrus), Wednesday, 22 September 2004 21:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 22 September 2004 21:31 (twenty-one years ago)

I hate those people too, Pink. I hate people who harm perfectly harmless, domesticated animals, period. I'm like my mother now in that I actually get physically ill when I catch wind of some poor little puppy or kitten that's been maltreated.

I hate government bureaucracy, too, because it's also giving my own mother the runaround on an issue she deserves to get resolved. Though I do realize most of this hatred should go toward the useless rules vs. the average everyday government employee.

Britn3y Spears - over-exposed media whore - fuck right off

Amen amen amen amen amen amen amen amen amen amen AMEN! And she did something recently that I consider a MAJOR irritant, i.e. use a child as a pawn. She and her apologists can just take a fucking FLYING LEAP into the fiery abyss for all I fucking care.

*ahem*

As for personal hates -- I don't really have any at the moment. Nope. Just general "this falls into a category but I'm sorta disassociated from this grouping" hates. Or dislikes. Or even "I feel so sorry for them"/"I'm grateful I'm not like that".

OH WAIT! I still hate the unevolved blobs of humanity that think nothing of racing past my street at speeds above 30mph. It's a FUCKING RESIDENTAL STREET, YOU DUMBASS SHITWADS! READ THE FUCKING SPEED LIMIT SIGNS, PEABRAINS! OH, AND BY THE WAY, WOULD IT FUCKING KILL YOU TO NOT LITTER OUR LAWNS, YOU USELESS DOUCHEBAGS????

So here I am. But I forget what the dream was - except, you know, mousetraps.
