How's your father?

Nemo (JND), Friday, 24 September 2004 16:56 (twenty-one years ago)

There isn't a picture on the web that can't be captioned with the phrase "WHERE THE TITTIES AT???" (picture thread)

Dan Perry '08 (Dan Perry), Friday, 24 September 2004 16:56 (twenty-one years ago)

This is the only book available on the subject, and while the explanations run smoothly, feeling comfortable with Jess will take some time. That said, you should do it; you'll (eventually) be glad you did.

adam. (nordicskilla), Friday, 24 September 2004 17:00 (twenty-one years ago)

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Friday, 24 September 2004 20:16 (twenty-one years ago)

If you are interested in using Jess as a possible solution to your business needs then this book is a virtual necessity. I couldn't imagine trying to use Jess without this book.

adam. (nordicskilla), Friday, 24 September 2004 20:16 (twenty-one years ago)

I am going to suggest we use Jess at work now.

Ricardo (RickyT), Friday, 24 September 2004 20:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Jess itself consists of a rule language, a runtime engine which supports forward and limited backward-chaining, and APIs for integration with Java.

jess (dubplatestyle), Friday, 24 September 2004 20:21 (twenty-one years ago)

JEss itself consists of bone, muscle, an unhealthy portion of fat, organs, skin, and less hair than before.

jess (dubplatestyle), Friday, 24 September 2004 20:22 (twenty-one years ago)

I couldn't imagine trying to use Jess without this book.

So it's always lights on lovemaking for Jess's first-timers I assume. So they can read the handy little index and find the pages which show what to nibble/lick/stroke and in what order for maximum performance.

Michael White (Hereward), Friday, 24 September 2004 20:22 (twenty-one years ago)

I think he would integrate very nicely with our Java. We could put him in the corner and get him to perve at indie girls with big arses.

Ricardo (RickyT), Friday, 24 September 2004 20:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Jess!! Now with less hair!!

Michael White (Hereward), Friday, 24 September 2004 20:25 (twenty-one years ago)

The problem with these books is that I always buy them and give up after the first few chapters. I would prefer that Jess remained something of a mystery to me and as such i will leave Jess to the experts.

adam. (nordicskilla), Friday, 24 September 2004 20:25 (twenty-one years ago)

jess is a self-propigating system.

jess (dubplatestyle), Friday, 24 September 2004 20:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Plus you know they'll update Jess soon enough and then we'll all have to start all over again, at least until something better comes along.

adam. (nordicskilla), Friday, 24 September 2004 20:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Still...that cover.

adam. (nordicskilla), Friday, 24 September 2004 20:27 (twenty-one years ago)

you suggestin' nu-jess 'll be bettah than the ol' un?

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Friday, 24 September 2004 20:28 (twenty-one years ago)

I would not have even known of this book's existence had it not arrived today for Reserves for a computing class. I was duly astonished.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 24 September 2004 20:29 (twenty-one years ago)

old skool jess, all the way.

Michael White (Hereward), Friday, 24 September 2004 20:29 (twenty-one years ago)

I cannot even imagine what a nu-jess would be like.

Ricardo (RickyT), Friday, 24 September 2004 20:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Cripps Pink (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 27 September 2004 02:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Ned Mouse Breaks Away by Tim Wynne-Jones, pictures by DuĊĦan Petričić. Groundwood Books, 2003. ISBN 0-88899-474-5. Ages 7-9.

Ned Mouse has been jailed for writing "the government is unfair to mice" in his spinach. He makes several unsuccessful attempts to escape, and after years of despair, finally devises a brilliant plan to outwit the jailer, with hilarious results. This book, with its short snappy chapters and amusing illustrations to complement the text, had children laughing out loud. The humorous and suspenseful story is easy enough to read for the age group, but the character and messages in the book of freedom, resilience of spirit and determination provide a multi-layered novel--ideal for young readers.

This is when I point out this link, right?

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Monday, 27 September 2004 04:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Ally is best for girls who aren't big yet, but desperately want to be--any child 5 to 9 years old would totally dig her. (It takes a bit of know-how to change memory cards and press various buttons--and Ally has small, pointed objects in her bag of tricks that could injure or choke toddlers.) Check out the Ethnic Amazing Ally as well.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Monday, 27 September 2004 04:45 (twenty-one years ago)

- and Ally has small, pointed objects in her bag of tricks -

which are exactly what, Ally?
