Um you can go outside in SF between the months of November and March. That's like a huge plus.

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Friday, 24 September 2004 19:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I DON'T WANT TO FIGHT BUT I FEEL I HAVE NO CHOICE.

n/a (Nick A.), Friday, 24 September 2004 19:19 (twenty-one years ago)

chicago wins: no earthquakes

amateur!!st, Friday, 24 September 2004 19:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Less hippies, tastes great.

n/a (Nick A.), Friday, 24 September 2004 19:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I can't believe I'm still not considered "noise."

n/a (Nick A.), Friday, 24 September 2004 19:20 (twenty-one years ago)

"worst thing about chicago" vs. "worst thing about san francisco"

I don't even know what XML is.

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 24 September 2004 19:23 (twenty-one years ago)

This is the most halfhearted attempt at a FITE ever.

n/a (Nick A.), Friday, 24 September 2004 19:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Just let the Giants sweep the Dodgers this weekend and BOTH SF and Chi are winners. Anything but a sweep, though, and the Cubs are hurtin'.

briania (briania), Friday, 24 September 2004 19:25 (twenty-one years ago)

"worst thing about chicago"

ha ha ha ha ha ... I know another ilxor who would get a kick out of that.

Kerry (dymaxia), Friday, 24 September 2004 19:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Does Chicago have an Oakland?

adam. (nordicskilla), Friday, 24 September 2004 19:29 (twenty-one years ago)

the south side

amateur!!st, Friday, 24 September 2004 19:29 (twenty-one years ago)

I love Chicago, as many of you know, so I don't feel like a FITE. Let's just celebrate the diversity and revel in our time here together.

(/Berkeley HIPPIE)

adam. (nordicskilla), Friday, 24 September 2004 19:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes. It's called the 'south side'.

ha ha - xpost!!!

Kerry (dymaxia), Friday, 24 September 2004 19:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Chicago IS an Oakland. What it doesn't have is a San Francisco.

briania (briania), Friday, 24 September 2004 19:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Easily the worst about about Chicago:

Tonight it’s very clear
As we’re both lying here
There’s so many things I want to say
I will always love you
I would never leave you alone

Sometimes I just forget
Say things I might regret
It breaks my heart to see you crying
I don’t wanna lose you
I could never make it alone

I am a man who will fight for your honor
I’ll be the hero you’re dreaming of
We’ll live forever
Knowing together that we
Did it all for the glory of love

You’ll keep me standing tall
You’ll help me through it all
I’m always strong when you’re beside me
I have always needed you
I could never make it alone

I am a man who will fight for your honor
I’ll be the hero you’ve been dreaming of
We’ll live forever
Knowing together that we
Did it all for the glory of love

Just like a knight in shining armor
From a long time ago
Just in time I will save the day
Take you to my castle far away

I am a man who will fight for your honor
I’ll be the hero you’re dreaming of
We’re gonna live forever
Knowing together that we
Did it all for the glory of love

We’ll live forever
Knowing together that we
Did it all for the glory of love

We did it all for love
We did it all for love
We did it all for love
We did it all for love

Don't tempt me with anything GTA! I'm going through preemptive San Andreas withdrawal.

Leeeter van den Hoogenband (Leee), Saturday, 25 September 2004 00:33 (twenty-one years ago)

am i the only person that's lived in both? or does Lee live there now?

i lived in Chicago for a year and hated it. granted i lived in Wrigleyville and had to deal with Stock Broker fucks, but here i've got to deal with stinky bums, stinky hippies and stinky gutter punks.

chicago was way too fucking whitebread for my tastes. everybody said, "oh, well there are different ethnic neighborhoods," but that shit sux. i don't want a polish, black, latino, white neighborhood. i want it all mixed up.

and the fucking summers there. ick. i hate muggy, humid hotness.

but the food was pretty good in chicago.

i still stick with SF

JaXoN (JasonD), Saturday, 25 September 2004 01:25 (twenty-one years ago)

I do like the google search comparison. There are only four results for "worst thing about San Francisco," and one of them is "having to leave."

Still. I went onto the roof of my building at sunset a couple days ago, and saw this:

ihttp://giganticmag.com/images/rooftop_dusk_sm.jpg

I still say Chicago rocks.
