of course it is--it's virginia. but what does this have to do with the pinefox?

mookieproof (mookieproof), Friday, 24 September 2004 23:01 (twenty-one years ago)

he's saving people from homo-sin-uality?

alfalfa romeo (natepatrin), Friday, 24 September 2004 23:03 (twenty-one years ago)

"I'm not homosexual, I'm homosensual!"

ex-jeremy (x Jeremy), Friday, 24 September 2004 23:05 (twenty-one years ago)

What about all of those ex-heterosexuals?

Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains), Friday, 24 September 2004 23:06 (twenty-one years ago)

If I'm ever really rich I'm gonna post goatse on a billboard with a blinking border, and a Rick James impersonator on a ladder. Just to be contrary.

ex-jeremy (x Jeremy), Friday, 24 September 2004 23:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Man, I hope you get really rich tomorrow.

Rickey Wright (Rrrickey), Friday, 24 September 2004 23:09 (twenty-one years ago)

I like how the logo is an empty triangle, like someone took the gay out of it.

The Ex-Gays would be a good band name.

On his blog Andrew Sullivan noted this recently:

it's worth recalling that the two leading spokesmen for the "ex-gay" movement have also been exposed as subsequently seeking gay sex

No link provided, though. Does anyone know more info about this? I'm not surprised at all, of course.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 25 September 2004 14:51 (twenty-one years ago)

how does the recent post structualist work on sexuality as socially deteremined and fluid relate to exgay movements ?

anthony, Saturday, 25 September 2004 15:38 (twenty-one years ago)

I think the logical and most practical next step for this organization is to employ James Bond to engage in coitus with as many lesbians as possible, thus converting them to heterosexuality, a la Pussy Galore in Goldfinger.

Ernest P. (ernestp), Saturday, 25 September 2004 15:58 (twenty-one years ago)

anthony: if sexuality is socially determined, exactly how fluid does this allow it to be? society isn't particularly fluid: that's kinda the problem isn't it? surely "socially determined" is more a prison than an anything-goes licence?

iron law (this is a joke kinda):
hets think everyone is secretly het
homos think everyone is secretly homo
bis think everyone is secretly bi
etc

(ps anyway hi, hullo, how ru, how r things?)

mark s (mark s), Saturday, 25 September 2004 17:29 (twenty-one years ago)

I think you are secretly me.

The best way to have goatse (or tubgirl) on a billboard would be to have it set up in such a way that the image couldn't be seen unless it was backlit, and have a pressure strip running under the road, so that when a motorist drives over it, bingo! bob g's distended asshole pops up in the driver's field of vision. this would give passing motorists the most authentic "hey click on this k-k3wl link" type experience.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Saturday, 25 September 2004 17:53 (twenty-one years ago)

These billboards (the gay-no-more! ones, not the goatse ones, alas) are all over the DC metro. I think it's so all those closeted chiefs of staff know how to pick out the more vulnerable guys.

Stephen X (Stephen X), Sunday, 26 September 2004 13:23 (twenty-one years ago)

I like how the logo is an empty triangle, like someone took the gay out of it.

Also pointing the other way, up towards heaven INSTEAD OF DOWN TO THE PINK PITS OF HELL.

I have to photoshop an answer billboard now.

NICE billboard, Sean. :-)

A source for ex-ex-gay info (of course a tad bit biased, but a place to start looking):
