Christian Joy?

manthony m1cc1o (Anthony Miccio), Saturday, 25 September 2004 23:08 (twenty-one years ago)

i often confuse the two in my mind. Im pretty sure they're the same person anyway.

AaronK (AaronK), Sunday, 26 September 2004 01:26 (twenty-one years ago)

the difference is enormous if you think about them on a plane like the political compass, i.e.from ultra-leftwing to libertarian, working clockwise

jones (actual), Sunday, 26 September 2004 15:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Sounds like a good job.

SHE HAS RUN TEH GAMUT!

Dan Perry '08 (Dan Perry), Monday, 27 September 2004 12:38 (twenty-one years ago)

one year passes...
I found this thread in the Language category. So it strikes me that the reason Jody started it was that the names (as well as the hair colors, etc.) of the two celebrities mentioned in the thread title are not sufficiently far apart to denote "everyone." The last name of the first person in the series is crying out to start with an "A" - "She's dressed everyone from Ryan Adams to Renee Zellweger." Otherwise it's like running the gamut from A to B.

DO U SEE?!?

"we're influenced by everyone from of montreal to neutral milk hotel"

Autonomous University of Zacatecas (Jody Beth Rosen), Thursday, 2 March 2006 16:17 (twenty years ago)

If I had read the thread properly, I probably wouldn't have added my first sentence. But who reads threads, however short they may be?

Redd Scharlach (Ken L), Thursday, 2 March 2006 16:30 (twenty years ago)

"A roster of stars reading like a Who's Who of Britpop, from Oasis to Pulp"

Redd Scharlach (Ken L), Thursday, 2 March 2006 16:32 (twenty years ago)

"He's discussed music with everyone from Dan Perry to Ned Raggett."

We contain multitudes.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 2 March 2006 16:32 (twenty years ago)

Oh, I thought this was a thread about celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe. *boaks*

(I am generally anti the concept of performing artistes of any kind not having the nous to dress themselves cleverly, or well, and throwing money at the problem to the tune of £1k a day. Guess I want a bit more independent thought from such folks)

I really am the invisible man.

Dan (Ellison Was Right All Along) Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 2 March 2006 16:51 (twenty years ago)

Sorry. I already apologized for not reading the thread, and then after that I realized that I also replicated your gamut gag, and then gibX came along and didn't read the thread either, all over again.

Redd Scharlach (Ken L), Thursday, 2 March 2006 16:55 (twenty years ago)

"Beloved by ILX posters, from giboyeux to gygax!"

Redd Scharlach (Ken L), Thursday, 2 March 2006 16:56 (twenty years ago)

I am glad to see that I have already made my requisite comment, a better one than I think I was about to come up with today.

the bellefox, Thursday, 2 March 2006 16:56 (twenty years ago)

It's surprising how hard it is to do this intentionally.

I'm trying to think of that weird broken analogy/ratio thing about "if New York is a martini, then Manhattan is the alcohol" or whatever it was.

Redd Scharlach (Ken L), Thursday, 2 March 2006 22:17 (twenty years ago)

"Aaronson and Zykowski are such gossips..... everyone will know by dusk"

Nnnnnnnng, where was that from? Police Squad? I really can't remember......

JTS (JTS), Thursday, 2 March 2006 22:20 (twenty years ago)

xpost

Autonomous University of Zacatecas (Jody Beth Rosen), Thursday, 2 March 2006 22:20 (twenty years ago)

Exactly. I wish I could remember the exact wording but that was the kind of question that came to mind.

Redd Scharlach (Ken L), Thursday, 2 March 2006 22:28 (twenty years ago)

i didn't read the thread. i just pulled the funny trigger!

gbx (skowly), Thursday, 2 March 2006 22:29 (twenty years ago)

Wait, I found it. It was

"If New York is a martini, then alcohol is the olive"

Redd Scharlach (Ken L), Thursday, 2 March 2006 22:30 (twenty years ago)

I kill you brain cells with ... what? Spaceship-destroying paradoxical statements?

Redd Scharlach (Ken L), Thursday, 2 March 2006 22:33 (twenty years ago)

i ponder.

JTS (JTS), Thursday, 2 March 2006 23:10 (twenty years ago)

I was kinda hoping n/a would show up on this thread with an uberzinger making fun of all of us that kept showing up on the thread saying the same thing over and over.

Redd Scharlach (Ken L), Friday, 3 March 2006 06:19 (twenty years ago)

Can't they dress themselves?
