Why in the name of all that is holy is "silent witness" still on?

Last night I went to the chinese takeaway. It is an excellent takeaway, and it was very busy, so I had to wait a while. I knew the wait would be hard when the announcer said s.th. like "and now, a new 2-part "silent witness". I saw a bit of it. A railway train hit a land rover which was parked across the lines, and derailed. There was an explosion. People acted badly, reading unconvincing lines from a script written by a person with no idea how to write convincing dialogue. No big change since we god rid of our telly then. Apparently the show no longer features amanda burton in the title role. In theory this should have meant the show shd have been better, since she really is a terribly unconvincing actress. Sometimes, when we had a telly, I thought the brief for hiring her must have been "female actress required to play coroner. Appearance must strongly suggest that of Kay Scarpetta, acting ability not essential, seeing as viewers will be having strong visceral reaction to cutting-edge tv appearance of mouldering dissected cavaders", but no, she's gone, and the show still = k-sux0r. Who watches it? Why?

i watched it last week! = i judged bcz amanda burton had left so it must have got better!

it is on so we can watch ppl cutting up rubber bodies surely?

a horse died of having ketamine put up its bum and, one of the weekly ppl-cutters-up sat in on the dissection, and the horse autopsist (= the faintly horsey-looking lesb who used to be one of the vets in "beast") greeted him w.the immortal phrase "don't faint don"t throw up don't touch anything"

sadly she was only in that ep, so i never watched since

It was 10 o'clock, my video of Charmed has just finished (great episode btw)...and I sat though 3 and a half minutes of Silent Witness, it was torture! I was waiting for the news to come on, but I ended up just flicking through the digital channels for 5 minutes, two of the shopping channels were selling Christmas stuff, and teh air guitar championships were on one of the music channels.

(Perhaps, I should make my Saturday night sound more exciting)

I've really enjoyed the last couple of episodes, but I'm a sucker for phorensic (sic)-based crime dramas.

Emilia Fox is in it now. She looks about 12 in the trailers, and seems to lack the gravitas to convince as a pathologist type. (note, I've never actually watched Silent Witness so have no idea if ditsy 12 year olds make convincing pathologists. I imagine not though).

I've watched a bit of it, recently. The big new twist is that Fox's character isn't a pathologist, she's an archaeologist instead! In other words, she says the same medical stuff as all the other characters, and occasionally also mentions the Exciting New Iron-Age Discoveries she's also making.

one year passes...
Silent Witness is CSI: London, is certainly dull and worthy enough. Imigrants bringing disease into the country. (um, reminds me a lot of Spooks, which went downhill in the last series after ALL the leading actors got replaced and every show was about the muslim threat)

Ms Fox was certainly doing PMs in this series. she has also lost a lot of the charm she had in the last series, somehow.

their headquarters appears (from the curved windows and view of motorway / church) to be the Ark in Hammersmith.
