i think the US can't be overrated OR underrated enough, sort of like Russia. i seriously think it won't be long for the US to have about the same amount of world economic and cultural relevancy as Russia. interesting, naive people in a huge country with abundant resources, corrupt leaders, huge swathes of almost pre-historic backward thinking, and a golden age of cultural revolution remembered ever more faintly by the country's metropolitan elite.
