expatriating... your experiences? work/language/techniques

i am pretty seriously considering moving from the states to montreal... anyone in montreal or with similar experience have any advice? other than learning french... would having a job with a company in the states that i could do from there be helpful?

Well, I moved TO the US so my experiences probably do not apply in this case. but the number of Americans I hear saying they want to move to Canada!
