(prompted by the thread mentioning spoilers for Buffy) Anyone watch this or care? an idle moment telly surfing last week and i found out how it all ends. Awww, and indeed, eek.

oh bah i wd have: xena sorta lost it round series five, plus anyway WHEN WAS IT ON TV ANY MORE?

"Now she belongs to the ages" (I've always wanted to say that — so why do i feel cheap?)

mark s, Tuesday, 20 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Yeah, but Xena and her bird of a sidekick...gettin' it on! R0x0r!

ogden, Tuesday, 20 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

is it finally over, forever? i hope so. all the anachronisms bothered me to no end.

Maria, Tuesday, 20 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

"anachronisms"? you mean it's supposed to be set in a specific histocal time?

, Tuesday, 20 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

HISTORICAL i mean

, Wednesday, 21 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

it's set in the time when "the land cried out for a hero"

mark s, Wednesday, 21 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

somewhere around last tuesday.

The anachronisms were what made it such fun. anachronisms hell, a complete confusion of real-historical greek-myth norse-myth modern- fiction characters before you get to the fact that the people involveed are separated by thousands of years. I loved the modern-day goofing around eps.

mark s (mark s), Thursday, 20 February 2003 20:46 (twenty-three years ago)

Your main worry should be the pretty good chance that it was Pete who said this.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Thursday, 20 February 2003 20:55 (twenty-three years ago)

"Following the previous Flik Spot scoop ITV has now reported that Xena Movie will go ahead with not only 'a stunning soundtrack provided by the series' original composer - Joseph Lo Duca' but a special Xena and Gabriel relationship theme song called 'When I Look at You' by Mariah Carey."

jones (actual), Thursday, 20 February 2003 21:39 (twenty-three years ago)

I guess Ares isn't going to be in the movie...

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 20 February 2003 21:42 (twenty-three years ago)

(And how on Earth is www.theflikspot.com NOT a porn site??????)

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 20 February 2003 21:43 (twenty-three years ago)

the music is consistently terrific incidentally

i shall enjoy defending mariah carey on ilm also

tATu should have got this gig obv

Alan (Alan), Friday, 21 February 2003 14:06 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm sure I made this up the other day. Those websites take my wildest lies and spin it out to nothing.

The other thing about a Xena movie is they are going to cast different people. Janeane Garofolo as Xena and Patsy Palmer as Gabrielle.

Pete (Pete), Friday, 21 February 2003 14:45 (twenty-three years ago)

six years pass...

That there is only one Xena thread should be telling enough, but were any ilxors into this? I was never ever interested, but recently learned that there was Sam Raimi involvement. There don't seem to reruns anymore.

It was no Brisco County Jr., but there was a lot more fan service. Cute saturday night boredom-staving off activity that i still wouldn't admit to watching occasionally. Zoe Bell was best known as Xena's stunt double before meeting up with Tarantino.

Nhex, Thursday, 29 October 2009 10:37 (sixteen years ago)

Hercules and Xena were fun, I used to watch them if I was in and they were on. Bruce Campbell was in them occasionally as some kind of master thief.

His skin is eroding. His suckers have divots. (chap), Thursday, 29 October 2009 12:33 (sixteen years ago)

The main reasons I watched "Hercules" and "Xena":

- Kevin Sorbo is from MN
- Lucy Lawless is HOTTTTTTTTT
- occasional Bruce Campbell appearances
- I'd just graduated from lolcollege

ADVANCED CHORD CHANGES (HI DERE), Thursday, 29 October 2009 14:59 (sixteen years ago)

I never saw the last Xena episode, did she and her sidekick finally come out of the closet in it?

Tuomas, Thursday, 29 October 2009 15:02 (sixteen years ago)

i watched xena as an adolescent. yeah, chalk it up to tittays and swords.

ian, Thursday, 29 October 2009 18:04 (sixteen years ago)

the tittays were nice, no doubt

Nhex, Thursday, 29 October 2009 19:21 (sixteen years ago)

Both series were really entertaining, and could be really funny. Bruce Campbell was always great.

Soukesian, Thursday, 29 October 2009 19:36 (sixteen years ago)

three years pass...

xena is still fun. there are a lot of crap episodes, but the good ones are so much fun.

i guess i'd just rather listen to canned heat? (ian), Tuesday, 30 April 2013 01:21 (thirteen years ago)

XENA IS SO COOL
SHE JUST SPLIT AN ARROW IN TWO WITH HER SWORD AND THE TWO PIECES KILLED TWO BAD GUYS
Sent at 8:49 PM on Saturday
me: now some little kid just told her "you have just met your greatest enemy"
OMG IT'S HER SON
BUT SHE KILLED THE DAD

dudes, did you know that when the centaurs were created their creator had the choice to make them noble or evil, and he chose noble? so all their evil is stored inside THE IXIAN STONE? this ep just keeps getting better.

Apparently getting a reboot that Lawless probably isn't a part of.
