Jon's going to take the ferry across the lake ... if Kerry wins he goes back the next morning, if Bush wins he claims refugee status.

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 05:32 (twenty-one years ago)

haha dude anthony easton and jon williams in the same bar is like some kind of old-nu ILE paradox universe combustion kabob in the mackereling

The whole world will be sucked into a wormhole.

Leon Czolgosz (Nicole), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 18:00 (twenty-one years ago)

And we wouldn't want the world to collapse in on itself ... maybe we can lock them in a loft and make a reality show out of it.

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 18:03 (twenty-one years ago)

That I would watch.

Leon Czolgosz (Nicole), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 18:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Nov 3 @ 7pmish

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 18:45 (twenty-one years ago)

The 3rd? That's a Wednesday, yes? Please do count me in.

Tantrum The Cat (Tantrum The Cat), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 18:47 (twenty-one years ago)

I got hockey on Wednesdays so I'll pass.
Though if you haven't already yet, I highly recomend Sneaky Dee's a little further down the street even if it isn't 2 for 1 fajitas night.

the ferry is broken :(

I thought it was running again since they got some halfshit approval to take some dinky trucks across. No one in Toronto really cares though.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 18:52 (twenty-one years ago)

When I saw the thread title I thought it referred to a drinking game. How I wish I could join you folx.

j.lu (j.lu), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 18:54 (twenty-one years ago)

anymore ?

anthony, Wednesday, 27 October 2004 20:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Is this thing a go?

Tantrum The Cat (Tantrum The Cat), Friday, 29 October 2004 18:31 (twenty-one years ago)

This is next Wednesday? That may work. Ah, how you folx have come to be the ones who drag me out of my workaholic isolation these days. (A contrast to the past, I'm sure!)

sundar subramanian (sundar), Friday, 29 October 2004 20:30 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd also like to point out that The Warlocks are playing at the thing that passes itself as the ElMo these days. BJM are in town Sunday.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Friday, 29 October 2004 20:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Is anything going on this weekend? I'm kinda dreading the prospect of another weekend holed up and staring at a Finale window.

Are Les Georges Leningrad any good? They're playing Lee's tonite. Also, there's apparently some sort of nu-jazz/funk thing Fri nights at Rivoli pool hall - Has anyone been to this before?

sundar subramanian (sundar), Friday, 29 October 2004 21:33 (twenty-one years ago)

I HAVE WORK DRINKS

sundar subramanian (sundar), Friday, 29 October 2004 23:10 (twenty-one years ago)

anthony, Saturday, 30 October 2004 04:06 (twenty-one years ago)

fucked up is incredible. (hardcore/epic)
brutal knights is incredible. (bro-down supergroup)

scout (scout), Saturday, 30 October 2004 21:38 (twenty-one years ago)

how much are tickets, when does it start ?

anthony, Saturday, 30 October 2004 23:37 (twenty-one years ago)

it's pay what you can, doors are at 9, first band is at 10.

scout (scout), Saturday, 30 October 2004 23:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Hey all. I'm gonna give the Wednesday night thing a miss because I REALLY overdid it this past Saturday. I was at a bar where my friend knew the owner and they kept feeding us drink tickets. I lost count at four gin & tonics. Then we went to a another bar where I knew the DJ, and HE gave us drink tickets. I spent the following Sunday praying for death, and I'm still a bit woozy.

Tantrum The Cat (Tantrum The Cat), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 01:37 (twenty-one years ago)

MIR, I'll try to bring a burn of Head Phone Over Tone's Solar Sails if you want to bring a copy of that Kraftwerk show.

sundar subramanian (sundar), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 06:09 (twenty-one years ago)

i'd like to meet anthony

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 06:11 (twenty-one years ago)

and everybody of course

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 06:12 (twenty-one years ago)

I think I will need to eschew my work and come out to this.
Sundar's bartering offer helped to convince me :)

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 06:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm not sure now if I'll make it tomorrow because it's now nearly 3am and I have to be up in four hours. and I feel like poopoo. I will try though.

Kim (Kim), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 07:55 (twenty-one years ago)

HI CAN I BE CANADIAN TOO?

http://library.stritch.edu/blackhistorymonth/images/underground.jpg

LE CHUCK!™ (ex machina), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 07:59 (twenty-one years ago)

sure, jon! come party with us!

(beware you toronto folk - i'm back in a month, and will be demanding cocktails with the likes of you)

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 11:20 (twenty-one years ago)

I think I'm going to have to bail out on this too. I was feeling a bit sick earlier in the week, but now my nose is running freely and my head feels like it's stuffed with concrete. Not only disgusting, but probably contagious, which would be no good for anyone. :(

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 21:06 (twenty-one years ago)

I HAVE WORK DRINKS

mark p (Mark P), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 21:08 (twenty-one years ago)

EXCELLENT!

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 21:18 (twenty-one years ago)

come on sean, will you come if we promise not to kiss you ?

anthony, Wednesday, 3 November 2004 21:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Seriously. I was going to go if I was feeling a bit sick but I'm seriously oozing snot here. I will have to wait until the next one, which is sad because after last night's debacle I really need a drink.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 22:01 (twenty-one years ago)

yep, as predicted, I am pretty much dead on my feet so I think even one drink would floor me right now. See you guys some other time soon though. maybe the Rob Bolton FAP 2004! Woo!

Kim (Kim), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 23:08 (twenty-one years ago)

I will come out for a bit (I am going to attempt to limit myself to a relatively short evening because I have been getting shit-all done because of this damned election). Sundar, I will have a CD filled with Kraftwerk with me, in case you are there.

Anthony, order the sangria or whatever and get comfy.

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 23:16 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm heading down now so I shouldn't be too late. I'll also try not to stay too late as I'm feeling a touch under the weather meself.

sundar subramanian (sundar), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 23:39 (twenty-one years ago)

WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU?

(Sorry, that "primal scream" thread has got me inspired to start posting this way as has MOTHERFUCKING Earle Brown.)

sundar subramanian (sundar), Thursday, 4 November 2004 03:47 (twenty-one years ago)

oh, no one found anyone? I called Ant earlier to cancel, but I thought he was still going.

Kim (Kim), Thursday, 4 November 2004 03:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh shit, sorry guys.
I went to the wrong place. How did I do that? That was really really dumb of me.
So I came back to my tape of "America's Next Top Model" and will drink a bit for the new world order here tonight.
Next time ...

(xpost -- I suppose that comment is directed at me, Sundar)

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Thursday, 4 November 2004 03:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Ha ha haa. You and that show!
I shall drink aswell.

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Thursday, 4 November 2004 03:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Whoa, nobody else was there either?
Now I feel really silly ... at least you and me, Sundar, could have had a drink or two (particularly since you came from uptown).

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Thursday, 4 November 2004 03:52 (twenty-one years ago)

And smoke me a bowl!
xpost

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Thursday, 4 November 2004 03:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Think I might go. Already seen 'em twice since Destroy All Codes was released, but what the hey!

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Thursday, 4 November 2004 19:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, there's a bar called Oasis west of Bathurst on College. Those always confused me until I went to the tapas Oasis, which is FANFUCKINGTASTIC and I'm sorry I had to miss it.

I saw Colleen the other day at Yonge n Bloor in passing and said hi quickly (was with a friend from out of town). Sorry didn't chat for a bit longer, Colleen! (You also seemed like you were in a hurry, too.)

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Thursday, 4 November 2004 19:33 (twenty-one years ago)

The Oasis that was in mind was the one near/below Rancho Relaxo right?

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 4 November 2004 19:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, that's the one we went to (the College one). There's also one on Queen St E though. I was wondering if MIR went there accidentally but he didn't. For a while, there were improv shows going on at both 'Oases', which confused a lot of people I think.

sundar subramanian (sundar), Thursday, 4 November 2004 21:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Hey Guys, Wednesday was fun, Anthony and his friends took me to a cool
fountain/garden/public art thing and Anthony and Raymond tried to talk their way into an extremely exclusive party for very wealthy people but didn't quite make it, so we missed out on the nice gift bags they were handing out.

Mind in Rewind: No I haven't been posting or using the net at all really, hopefully I'll have net service set up at home within the next week.

Sean: No need to apologize, and yeah I was in abit of a hurry too.

Colleen D, Saturday, 6 November 2004 22:50 (twenty-one years ago)

How late did you guys stay out?

sundar subramanian (sundar), Saturday, 6 November 2004 23:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Still coming out tonight, Thermo?

sundar subramanian (sundar), Sunday, 7 November 2004 16:53 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm going to try. I was out really late at Derrick May last night. So very tired.

But - ya, I think I'll prolly be there.

I touched Derrick last night.

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Sunday, 7 November 2004 17:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Cool. How's 10:00?

sundar subramanian (sundar), Sunday, 7 November 2004 17:10 (twenty-one years ago)

I TOUCHED HIM!

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Sunday, 7 November 2004 17:12 (twenty-one years ago)

do any of my motherfucking homies want to go bowling at the bowl-a-rama tomorrow ?

(bathurst and glencarin)--ca 8pm

anthony, Sunday, 7 November 2004 21:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Okay man, I'll see you there around 10!
(It's Sneaky D's right?)

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Sunday, 7 November 2004 22:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Sneaky Dee's, yeah.

sundar subramanian (sundar), Sunday, 7 November 2004 22:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Upstairs at Sneak Dee's for those of you who haven't been here long.

I'll be there early for some Huevos Rancheros I suppose. I never order anything else there it seems.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Sunday, 7 November 2004 23:59 (twenty-one years ago)

as promised:

(aside from kim and zac, im looking at you sean)

anthony, Monday, 8 November 2004 21:36 (twenty-one years ago)

I got your message Ant. Don't worry about it! It's cold out there and we've got a movie to watch here tonight anyway.

Hope you have a good birthday Mark!

Kim (Kim), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 01:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Anthony! I just got your message about bowling today, because it was on the cell phone I don't use! (It's a loaner, and it's busted so I generally keep it turned off these days!) Use the 416 number, not the 647 one... Anyhow, obviously I'm not there, as I'm eyebrow-deep in all my Xmas gift guide articles, all overdue. Bah.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 02:04 (twenty-one years ago)

(I used to be in a youth league too! I would totally have loved going out bowling! I would say I'd have kicked all your asses, but it's been too long since I've bowled. I probably suck now.)

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 02:06 (twenty-one years ago)

i ended up going--i was totally sick and kind of broke, but then i realized that bowling would make me feel happier.

im sorry to cancel kim.

anthony, Tuesday, 9 November 2004 06:20 (twenty-one years ago)

http://www.nintendoland.com/home2.htm?nes/access.htmi
I only wish I was making some of this up. But people don't even believe me about the existence of ROB.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 14:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Gee, I wonder why!

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 17:02 (twenty-one years ago)

WE HAVE THAT CERAMIC PIE. I WON IT FROM MY OFFICE.

Kim (Kim), Wednesday, 10 November 2004 00:32 (twenty-one years ago)

I have teh supreme gayness.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 10 November 2004 02:45 (twenty-one years ago)

So Black Dice cancelled last night and Fennesz cancelled on Dec 1. FUCK THIS SHIT.

When I get my refunds, I'm going to get a ticket for a) Lali Puna/Styrofoam (corny indie-tronica fux, why not), and b) Gold Chains. Thermo, you're still going to Gold Chains, right?

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Friday, 12 November 2004 19:55 (twenty-one years ago)

lali puna's sold out

mark p (Mark P), Friday, 12 November 2004 19:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Ya I'm still down for GC. You fancy meeting beforehand?

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Friday, 12 November 2004 20:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh ffs, I figured Lali Puna would sell out.
Sure Thermo, let's meet up beforehand (assuming this show's not sold out too! I'm going for tix tomorrow). Maybe at Sneaks?

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Friday, 12 November 2004 20:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Bovine Sex Club, Friday the 19th has More Plastic, this I must see.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Friday, 12 November 2004 20:09 (twenty-one years ago)

What's More Plastic?

sundar subramanian (sundar), Saturday, 13 November 2004 04:56 (twenty-one years ago)

A Toronto band which I do love.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Saturday, 13 November 2004 05:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Lali Puna isn't sold out ... I'm going tonight.
Thermo, is that your actual gmail address? If not, email me during the week.

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Saturday, 13 November 2004 22:06 (twenty-one years ago)

sorry dude. maybe the sign i saw just meant that soundscapes was sold out of tickets?

mark p (Mark P), Saturday, 13 November 2004 22:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha, I bought my ticket at Soundscapes!
Anyhow, don't worry about it, I wasn't inconvenienced because I was going to SS anyway to return my Fennesz ticket ... the fact that they still had Lali Puna tickets was a pleasant surprise.

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Saturday, 13 November 2004 22:42 (twenty-one years ago)

what the crap?!

mark p (Mark P), Saturday, 13 November 2004 22:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Ya, it's one of my emails. I might see you Lee's tonight actually.

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Sunday, 14 November 2004 01:41 (twenty-one years ago)

five months pass...
im never coming back am i ?

anthony, Friday, 22 April 2005 08:18 (twenty-one years ago)

i wish you would Ant.

update - we did go to see More Plastic at the Bovine on Nov 19th and i still have not recovered from the amount of B.O. that dude left behind during his run through the audience. twas harsh.

Kim (Kim), Friday, 22 April 2005 12:53 (twenty-one years ago)

That's not nice, I mean he had just been dancing on every bar and table in the place.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Friday, 22 April 2005 13:08 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm thinking of organizing a small-scale FAP, probably mid-May.

MindInRewind is in - how about youse guys?

Tantrum The Cat (Tantrum The Cat), Friday, 22 April 2005 13:37 (twenty-one years ago)

its weird to me that i never saw anthony while he was here. admittedly i am a bad fapper.

mark p (Mark P), Friday, 22 April 2005 13:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Anthony is very sweet - I didn't know he'd left, actually.

Tantrum The Cat (Tantrum The Cat), Friday, 22 April 2005 13:44 (twenty-one years ago)

I saw Anthony sight seeing the Eaton's centre shortly after his arrival in town. I didn't say hi though cause I wasn't sure it was him yet.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Friday, 22 April 2005 13:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Zac, no it's not nice, but if you think that kind of pungency can be summoned from a single bout of impassioned dancing, i would suggest that you are mistaken because we're talking a minimum 3 days of cumulative stench here. probably far more! it was reekage of derelict proportions.

Will try to be in for the fapping.

Kim (Kim), Friday, 22 April 2005 13:57 (twenty-one years ago)
