what's the longest gap between you buying a magazine and actually reading it?

i just remembered that i bought a copy of DJ last Wednesday, it's been in my bag all that time but i still haven't read it. is this a record? (you bet your sweet can i'm bored)

Yeah, one week is nothing.
However, fifteen years is definitely something.

I have some magazines that have presently gone unread for over a year. But once I learn how to read German, that should change.

When I had my eye troubles I kept buying mags for the free CDs, then didn't read any of them until my eyes were better, so probably about 7 or 8 months.

I recently threw out a lot of Offical PlayStation2 Magazines which were over a year old mostly unread (I probably skimmed the reviews). I bought them for the cover CD first, reviews second and general sarky attitude last. The Edge's that I have of similar vintage I still expect to read the columns in at some point.

I'm bad about letting my Vanity Fairs and Harpers stack up, so I usually am 4-5 months behind on those. The only ones I try to keep up on are the New Yorker and the Nation, mainly because of their topicality. If stuff stacks up more than 6 months, I just end up tossing 'em out.
