and the noise is making me feel like i am sat in an old twin engine airplane awaiting to parachute out when we arrive 'at our waypoint'.

Do i have too much time on my hands?

When you try to stop the rotating blade with your finger or your tongue, THEN you have too much time on your hands.

I owe you a beer for mentioning Clint Howard today. He was the surprise mystery guest today.

Ste (Fuzzy), Wednesday, 24 November 2004 14:38 (twenty-one years ago)

In summer we'd have competitions to see how far away a balled up bit of paper would end up when dropped on to a fan. Definitely too much time on our hands.

beanz (beanz), Wednesday, 24 November 2004 14:55 (twenty-one years ago)

i got told off by a colleague for having it switched of for too long, tells me i was wasting energy.
he then refused to let me borrow his fine to do some 'experiments'. meanie.

a muttering inbred (called) (not named) (Abbott), Tuesday, 4 August 2009 05:02 (sixteen years ago)

fan death is seriously the funniest concept ever to me, i laughed for about ten minutes str8 when i first heard about it!

"woah man, flügelhorn" (haitch), Tuesday, 4 August 2009 05:16 (sixteen years ago)

Me too, esp. this: That an electric fan chops up all the oxygen particles in the air leaving none to breathe.

  • That an electric fan chops up all the oxygen particles in the air leaving none to breathe. This explanation violates mass conservation and well-known properties of molecules and gases.

"woah man, flügelhorn" (haitch), Tuesday, 4 August 2009 05:18 (sixteen years ago)

imagine if they could solve global warming by getting a fan that chopped up all the carbon dioxide!!!

"If a Western doctor investigated these deaths, he would say what really caused the death, and say that a fan was beside the victim."

take sides: fans cutting up oxygen molecules vs. jarvik artificial heart cutting up red blood cells?
