Classic or Dud . Cause David is thinking about doing it ?

If you're relying it on your sole form of employment, it can be a bit of a dud --- you don't receive a regular wage (in most situations, anyway), and you usually get all of your work at one time and be crazy busy and then go through very slow periods with no work coming in.

If you're doing it as a side project, it's a nice way to make money but you can get hella overworked.

What Nicole said. If it's side work *and* you're setting the pace rather than your client, you're fine. Otherwise, be very wary.
