Miss Musso is one of the best villains ever.

Favourite bit, was over the closing credits, Mrs Lewis going through a slideshow:

"Here's Shelley snooping through my checkbook. SHELLEY DRIVING THE CARRRRRRRR!".

edward o (edwardo), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 06:30 (twenty-one years ago)

lame bueller rip-off.

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 06:33 (twenty-one years ago)

i used to love that show. haven't thought about it in years.

Star Cauliflower (Star Cauliflower), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 06:35 (twenty-one years ago)

yet the show was FAR bettter than the ferris bueller tv show, and laster longer

kingfish (Kingfish), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 06:39 (twenty-one years ago)

well they both sucked. but the basic premise is totally bueller, just not as good.

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 06:43 (twenty-one years ago)

This show was all about "the koob".

damn. i haven't thought about this show in ages. my best friend had a crush on frank lemmer, ms. musso's henchman.

SYNCHRONIZE SWATCHES

What absolutely made this show:

*the sound effects
*Kubiak
*Parker's shirts
*the sound effects

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 14:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Superior Bueller rip-off. My media studies teacher used to talk about this show all the time, how it broke down the fourth wall and was post-modern and stuff. Maybe he was just trying to use an example everyone in class would recognize.
I remember it as okay, but not compelling enough to watch more than by accident.

Huk-L, Wednesday, 19 January 2005 14:44 (twenty-one years ago)

I loved it, and I fear seeing it again.

Jordan (Jordan), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 14:52 (twenty-one years ago)

I knew the guys who wrote most of the classic episodes.

Haibun (Begs2Differ), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 14:59 (twenty-one years ago)

I loved it too. Maybe this show was just before its time, as in my memory it has similarities to Scrubs and Malcolm in the Middle. But maybe my memory is just full of hopes of what it could have been (and, yeah, a weird crush on Frank too.) I'd like to see it again to verify.

rrrobyn (rrrobyn), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 15:02 (twenty-one years ago)

I would like to see it again, though watching an episode of Get A Life years later was not as enjoyable as my 12-year-old self would have assumed. In memory though, coolness.

miccio (miccio), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 15:06 (twenty-one years ago)

I knew the guys who wrote most of the classic episodes.

What are these fine men doing today?

Jordan (Jordan), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 15:11 (twenty-one years ago)

I saw the name of one (Pete Ocko) as an associate producer for "Boston Legal"...not sure what Adam Barr is doing. They were very very funny in college; I knew them through drama stuff. Others in that group of people: Donal Logue, Mira Sorvino, Andrew Sullivan, Amy Brenneman (a few years older but still), Daniel Zelman (now Mr. Debra Messing), a few others.

Haibun (Begs2Differ), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 15:15 (twenty-one years ago)

now this show seems a lot less sui generis

gabbneb (gabbneb), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 15:31 (twenty-one years ago)

this show rocked back in the day!

latebloomer (latebloomer), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 15:52 (twenty-one years ago)

OMG the sounds effects! To this day I will occasionally make the *whip* sound when handing people documents & what not! I just now realize the lasting effect this show has had on my life!

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 16:01 (twenty-one years ago)

you guys are gonna think i'm crazy, but i think Disney's Even Stevens is a CLASSIC show and the humor and absurdity remind me a lot of Parker Lewis

Hella Fitzgerald (JasonD), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 18:20 (twenty-one years ago)

I like even stevens too!!!

Magic City (ano ano), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 18:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Since I read this thread, every time I look at my watch I think "Synchronize Swatches!!" (And my watch is nothing like a Swatch. haha, ah, Swatches...) Did the people responsible for Scrubs have anything at all to do with Parker Lewis? Seriously, because they've got similarities, one being my love for them.

rrrobyn (rrrobyn), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 18:43 (twenty-one years ago)

two years pass...

parker lewis

Can't believe I am watching this again.

svend, Wednesday, 8 July 2009 19:10 (sixteen years ago)

Does anyone else remember how in the middle of this show Corky Nemec changed his name to Corin Nemec and it was reflected in the credits as such? Confused the hell out of me.

\(^o\) (/o^)/ (ENBB), Wednesday, 8 July 2009 19:11 (sixteen years ago)

On the first season he is showing up as Corin.

svend, Wednesday, 8 July 2009 19:15 (sixteen years ago)

Hmmmmm. Maybe they've changed it in the DVD? I could be completely wrong. Might have just known him before this show as Corky.

\(^o\) (/o^)/ (ENBB), Wednesday, 8 July 2009 19:16 (sixteen years ago)

Oh I meant the credits of each episode. They don't look like they were update. Maybe you read too much TeenBeat or something back then.

svend, Wednesday, 8 July 2009 19:17 (sixteen years ago)

err updated.

svend, Wednesday, 8 July 2009 19:18 (sixteen years ago)

x-post - probably

\(^o\) (/o^)/ (ENBB), Wednesday, 8 July 2009 19:18 (sixteen years ago)

curious if this is as entertaining as I remember it (same with OG Garry Shandling Show)

Apollo C. Vermouth (Shakey Mo Collier), Wednesday, 8 July 2009 19:34 (sixteen years ago)

According to the Scientology community web site and Nemec's personal web site, he is a member of the Church of Scientology.
