Can I safely assume that the giant cast-culling soap catastrophe as predicted in Hollyoaks Deaths: Search and Destroy never actually happened?
― Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 17:28 (twenty-one years ago)
The last time I saw Hollyoaks some guy's mum and died and he was keeping her decomposing body in her bed because he couldn't come to terms with it or something.
THAT'S BOMBHEAD!!! THAT'S MY SECRET CRUSH OF SHAME!!! ::swoons::
― Masonic Boom-Boom (kate), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 17:29 (twenty-one years ago)
there was one spectacular death recently. dan got blown up when his racecar EXPLODED on xmas day, right before he was going to propose to debbie.

bella rules. but when do we learn her deep dark secret?
― lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 17:30 (twenty-one years ago)
Bella's deep dark secret is that her family have sent her off to Chester to get rid of her, and she never really goes on all the fun holidays she talks about, she just mopes about the flat all the time, wearing black and having her birthday forgotten.
― Masonic Boom-Boom (kate), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 17:32 (twenty-one years ago)
I fancy Ben obviously, but Dan is (one of) my crush(es) of shame. Not Bombhead, no, he looks 12.

He's actually quite an attractive boy. Boy, notably, but there's nothing wrong in that. I'd be willing to spare him some time.
I'm sure there's someone I really fancy in this series (apart from Ben, obv.) but I can't remember who it is. Let's face it, any of them would do.

I watch this sometimes, but when you've already seen them and you wake up on Sunday morning and this is on for like TEN HOURS I feel like gouging out my own eyeballs and playing ping pong with them. While on fire.
Luckily, I have resisted.

Hollyoaks is fast becoming the Brit Home and Away with its tendency to concentrate on the youngest members of the cast and have so many storylines centred on the school. All we need is a caravan park and the Aussie TV co. can start legal proceedings.

A friend of mine used to live next door to a girl who was in Hollyoaks a year or so ago. He claims when they were small children they used to run naked through sprinklers together. Until she told him they couldn't do that any more. I must find out what her name was.
― Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 20 January 2005 10:51 (twenty-one years ago)
Haha I have a mate in Sydney who says pretty much exactly the same thing about one of the Home & Away girls, who I coincidentally had something of a soft spot for around the time I met him. What was her name..? Got it:

Susie Rugg. He always said he'd introduce us, but she was always "away" - never "home". DO YOU SEE?

See, this is why I don't watch EastEnders.
If I wanted to see 'normal' looking people on my TV I would turn it off and lok at my FUCKING REFLECTION.No, keep the blandly attractive, blonde young things coming, H'Oaks. Introduce a mad scientist filling Cheshire with his Stepford Wives-style clones subplot or something. Anything.

― hobart paving (hobart paving), Thursday, 20 January 2005 12:41 (twenty-one years ago)
Becca's boyfriend is currently having an affair with Lisa (the self harm girl? possibly?). And Tony has left Mandy! oh no! I really like Tony, he's just such an amusing indie bastard, he hates Christmas and everything. I hope they don't write him out of the story permanently. :-( In fact they should bring back his mum, as well. And Finn. ::drools:: Finn was well hott, liked older women, and it's not like the actor is having a career post-Hollyoaks. Humph.
I don't care if he's cute HE WAS KEEPING HIS MOTHER'S DECOMPOSING CORPSE UPSTAIRS IN HIS HOUSE!
He sets off my psychomagnet, as well as being cute! He's a total nutjob! Of course I fancy him!
Yeah, I remember the anal rape incident. That was when I first started watching it. Charlie No. Four got me hooked on it, curse him.
And although this new spate of non-blonde girls is worrying, I like the non-blondes they've brought in. Paula and Bella are both massive improvements on the Stepford Villagers.

There's a lesbian storyline going on right now, and the hyperactive kid with the weird name (I forget, it's Stingray or something) dressed up like a camp superhero and said "Up, up and I'm a gay!" to annoy all the homophobes at school. I have to love that.

Hollyoaks has changed a lot in the past few months and so is deserving a thread revival.
what do ppl think of the new title sequence and the fact that the male and female symbols now feature in the logo?
What about Craig and John Paul eh?
― Grandpont Genie, Friday, 14 September 2007 15:15 (eighteen years ago)
The newish title sequence makes me want to kill myself. Russ punching the air in the title sequence makes me want to kill myself. Hannah's eating disorder makes me want to kill myself.
I still want to get a part on the show, but if they made me make out with Gilly I think I'd kill myself.

Every day I catch the last few minutes of Hollyoaks while waiting for C4 News and wonder who watches it. It looks like it's aimed at teens, but srsly? so who?
