I have a coworker who does this to me all the fucking time. How am I supposed to realize that

886 = 拜拜了 = "Bye Bye"

Is there some part of cultural divide that she doesn't understand?

You know what it means now though, don't you? Think of it as a learning experience.

All I know is that she does this all the fucking time.... I wonder if maybe she never realized the codes corresponded to digits on mobile phones so didn't associate them with being unique to chinese culture?

Respond with messages that have no vowels and all the consonants replaced with versions with umlauts, tildes, etc.
