I only use my rice cooker (which I received as a present in Japan). Oh and my water boiler and coffee machine.

Emma's blender, having sat unloved on the shelf all year, has recently seen unprecedented amounts of usage. From soups to breakfast smoothies to raspberry martini's in one week alone.

I feel like a class traitor having smoothines for breakfast - but num num. Its like baby food.

mmmmmm, kitchen gadgets. my hand blender (christened the "multi- prick") is my first kitchen love, and then my pestle and mortar and lemon zester but the other day i bought a GINGER GRATER! it's just getting silly now.

Our whirly chopper/blender is very useful, I'm toying with the idea of a bread machine.

The one thing my new flat appears to be missing is a proper COFFEEMAKER so of course this is number one on my list of wants.

Ah the joys of the magimix. The sandwich toaster is by far my favourite appliance. Why not try Danish salami, medium cheddar and chilli sauce? It's delightful.

Anthony, your link still doesn't work for us. It just asks us to sign in and suggests Harry Potter books, which are of no use in the kitchen whatsoever.

Nick, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i made one . it has 70 items. it feautres matching small appliances. i have no clue how to link to it ?

anthony, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Anthony - what name (or email address) was it registered under? I did a search for anthony easton's wishlist and it said there wasn't one.

Nick, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

[email protected] , hmm I want my empire red appilances !

There's something weird about the Amazon wishlists which means it takes them a couple of days to become visible to the outside world. I had the same problem with Starry's as I am with Anthony's: the link didn't work and the search engine failed to turn anything up.

RickyT, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ahh - he wants to buy Starry a pwesent.

Nick, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i am going to buy rickyT an Afro Ken wig as a present for Starry. then her two favourite boys will be combined into one!

I would like a nice food processor to make chopping and slicing things quicker and easier. We have a rice steamer which I adore.

I'm perfectly pathetic, I just need skillets to cook things in that are usually already in bags. But never underestimate the joy of just munching on fresh spinach.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ned, it's impossible to underestimate, so don't worry.

Nick, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I don't use it very often, but I love my waffle iron nonetheless.

Jordan, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I broke my potato ricer on a swede (he says, sounding like hanle y: but IT'S TRUE!!)

mark s, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

it wasn't ronan's swede was it?

jess, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

What is a potato ricer? Does it cook both rice and potatoes? Does it turn potatoes into rice? IS IT MAGIC?
