What would you have done?

I felt so embarassed I was like "I am not sure.........that.......................I am........comfortable with.......that"

Has this ever happened you? I mainly said no cos I didn't want to have to explain it to co-workers. Maybe if it was on the street I'd have been ok with it.

Were you wearing your best golf outfit?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 20:33 (twenty-one years ago)

So what happened after the customer uncuffed you?

donut christ (donut), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 20:33 (twenty-one years ago)

I hope you're not a model.

It's happened a couple of times for me. Either some art project on campus or else promo guff for the library's publications, so it's not totally random. Still odd, though.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 20:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Hahaha, I was asked for photos as well for a college art project.. and I think there's some thread where the pictures still exist.. maybe. I'll, um, leave it at that.

donut christ (donut), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 20:35 (twenty-one years ago)

last week when i was djing, a couple of japanese girls asked to pose with me for photos.

i guess it was payback for me, for taking so many photos of people on stage.

"I am not an animal! I am a human being! I am a man!"

Leon the Fatboy (Ex Leon), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 20:38 (twenty-one years ago)

So you're saying the customer wasn't cute?

Casuistry (Chris P), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 20:53 (twenty-one years ago)

"I'm sorry, I only do nudes, and, well, store policy, it turns out!"

Casuistry (Chris P), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 20:53 (twenty-one years ago)

ugh when i was in college i worked at this big restaurant/club that had private parties in the penthouse/roof area - but one afternoon i had to work for some brat's bar mitzvah handing out little snacks and sodapops. it was so embarrassing. anyways, the kids parents and the photographer asked if they could have a picture of me on my knees serving the bar mitzvah boy some candy on a tray. i was like 'wtf, no' - but they got someone else to do it.

WTF kind of barmitzvah was this???

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 20:59 (twenty-one years ago)

She was ok looking. I didn't really think of it that way. I just thought it was quite weird.

I work in a record store, usually it is a refuge from stuff like this.

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 21:03 (twenty-one years ago)

the paparazzi you mean?

mark p (Mark P), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 21:54 (twenty-one years ago)

i think he means pussy, mark

Jams Murphy (ystrickler), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 21:56 (twenty-one years ago)

i'd ask them what it was for and then say yes provided their reason sounded convincing enough.

Stevem On X (blueski), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 22:00 (twenty-one years ago)

she was a Japanese tourist, gareth said this happened him before with a Japanese tourist aswell. is it a normal thing to do in Japan?

If so, in hindsight, I feel sort of ignorant.

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 22:09 (twenty-one years ago)

I once got to say a line for a short film.
Something like And the dog continues running towards the sun..

.ada.m. (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 22:14 (twenty-one years ago)

I was once asked for an interview by some teenage girls with a video camera in some musem (space museum, maybe?) in Washington, DC. As soon as they found out where I was from, they started asking me about "shagging" (thx, Miek Myers) and then asked me to rate my own prowess.

.ada.m. (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 22:16 (twenty-one years ago)

did you give yourself an A?

mark p (Mark P), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 22:18 (twenty-one years ago)

no.

.ada.m. (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 22:18 (twenty-one years ago)

an 8.

.ada.m. (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 22:18 (twenty-one years ago)

This was out of 500,000 though.

.ada.m. (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 22:18 (twenty-one years ago)

My brother was standing right next to me. It was uncomfortable.

.ada.m. (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 22:19 (twenty-one years ago)

did he give you a 800,000?

Jams Murphy (ystrickler), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 22:20 (twenty-one years ago)

I was stopped on the street once by a camera crew who asked if they could document my life for the next few hours.

I asked them what it was for (school project) and politely told them I had planned on masturbating when I got home and they could not come.

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 22:20 (twenty-one years ago)

nyarf nyarf yancey.

.ada.m. (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 22:21 (twenty-one years ago)

My brother was standing right next to me. It was uncomfortable.

an 8 is still a pretty poor performance

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 22:21 (twenty-one years ago)

As I have related countless times on ILX, I was also stopped once and the street and asked to be in a video for britpop combo Sleeper.

Sadly, I agreed.

.ada.m. (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 22:22 (twenty-one years ago)

you should carry that "CUNT" sign around wth you incase it happens again!

jed_ (jed), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 22:22 (twenty-one years ago)

having worked in record stores, i would much rather have someone ask to take my picture than have someone attempt to sing something they heard on the radio in the hopes that i knew what it was...

mookieproof (mookieproof), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 22:22 (twenty-one years ago)

you should carry that "CUNT" sign around wth you incase it happens again!
