Dominic Monaghan to Interpol lead dude: "You are a tool."

I admit I larfed:

That description fits Monaghan as well. While we drive around Oahu, he flips through the discs in his CD changer: Interpol, the Beatles, Jay-Z. Monaghan likes Interpol, although he disapproves of lead singer Paul Banks, whom he once spotted wearing an Interpol T-shirt at another band's gig. Shaking his head, he says, "I'd never wear an I AM MERRY T-shirt to get laid."

I wouldn't either, but being merry just doesn't work in my town.

Where everyone rises each morn to the roosters crowing a Shins song.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 27 January 2005 21:08 (twenty-one years ago)

If you can't promote your own band, who can?

Besides fuck em, he's a hobbit and will always be remembered as such, while the Interpol dude will be forever treasured as a post-goth pretty boy fad.

matttt (chachee), Thursday, 27 January 2005 21:09 (twenty-one years ago)

he might get some model snatch and good lookin kids out of the deal, though. STRIKE WHILE THE IRON'S HOT, BOYS!

Snappy (sexyDancer), Thursday, 27 January 2005 21:10 (twenty-one years ago)

If you can't promote your own band, who can?

Because Interpol clearly lack any buzz or attention.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 27 January 2005 21:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, I don't think there's anything wrong with it, really.

Wearing Lord of the Rings gear in order to get laid might not be a great plan anyway.

milozauckerman (miloaukerman), Thursday, 27 January 2005 21:14 (twenty-one years ago)

if i think my band has cool shirts id wear em and be proud

charleston charge (chaki), Thursday, 27 January 2005 21:15 (twenty-one years ago)

People don't remember the names of the guys in Hoobastank and Maroon 5 and they have infinitely higher profiles than Interpol.

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 27 January 2005 21:16 (twenty-one years ago)

he's a hobbit and will always be remembered as such

Not to the approximately 18 million Americans who watch Lost ever Wednesday.

"It would be interesting for us to have dinner with a bunch of fans," he says. "They'd realize we talk about the same shit they do: Who's going to die next? What do you think the monster is? When are we going to cook the dog?"

Your search - interpol ren faire - did not match any documents.

Suggestions:
- Make sure all words are spelled correctly.

OK seriously I'd be a lot more offended if I saw Paul Banks wearing the band t-shirt of the band that he was going to see than if I saw him in his own t-shirt, but OTOH I know of and approve of a friend of mine who has a t-shirt, one of those photo t-shirts they make at Kinko's, with a picture of himself on it.
