Definately beer and red wine over ice cream.
Also, I was huffing Chambord on Sat night, and that was better than ice cream.

Booze. It's lovely on its' own, and it sometimes leads to sex, or at least some wild dancing. Ice cream just leads to nap time.

Sadly no booze for me these days. Not that I'm a daily drinker, mind you, but I prefer it over ice cream. That said, I've been making quite a bit of ice cream lately. (Banana, chocolate,...)

My fave ice cream concoction: DAME FUCKING BLANCHE.

Ice cream all the way. I don't recommend making what I've called the "Drunken Irish Milkshake" which is a blender mix of baileys, khalua & vanilla ice cream.. Well I do recommend it because of its deliciousness, except that per glass it more than likely adds up to something like 1500 calories.

Absolutely booze. Ice cream is great but if I could never eat it again I could find other sweets to take it's place. Nothing could take the place of alcohol!

I hate ice cream. Too rich for my blood! Speaking of my blood, I love thinning it with alcohol.

Booze and ice cream are both great and both needed for differing occasions. Also can be awesome mixed together... I just can't take sides on this.

I had no idea ice cream was a big enough part of anyone's life to even warrant discussion on this. Have I been missing out on all the good ice cream bar times and ice cream parties and after work ice creams and stops for ice cream when date conversation is drying up and ice cream tickets for the band and etc..

Yes, but you're also missing out on the times when you eat way too much ice cream and wake up somewhere weird and don't remember how you got there, or those times you puke ice cream in an embarrassing place, or those times your friend eats a whole lot of ice cream and starts trying to pick a fight with you and everyone else and then you have you practically carry him home to make sure he doesn't hurt himself.

Hint -- turn him on his side. That's how Hendrix died, you know. Choked on his own ice cream.

I'd rather eat ice cream than drink booze, but I'd rather be drunk than full. I wish someone would invent 90 proof chocolate peanut butter swirl ice cream and combine the two.

Guys, ice cream is but one representative of a fucking PANTload of dessert/dairy/taste delights. Booze, on the other hand, is a thing unto itself, an arsenal of companions, life-changers, mood-lifters, night-changers, move-makers and confidence-builder

which is why the question is unfair. it should be booze vs. dessert. or beer vs. ice cream. or trappist ales vs. gelato.
