Happy birthday Ally C. I used to think you were a girl. :)

Samantha, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Many times I've wished he were a girl (sigh)...

Mark C, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

many many happy returns of the day AllyC!

katie, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm going to ring him up and wish him it in person. Hang on...

"I thank all my adoring fans, and I have new jeans, so obviously I'll look very sexy".

You can't argue with that.

Mark C, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Strangely enough I had an ILE last dream that Ally C was my long lost cousin who lived in downtown Paris who was meant to show me the sites. I ended up horribly lost though! Sign I am spending too much time here, I suppose.

Despite this, Happy Birthday!

Nicole, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Happy Birfday you old rogue. How come this thread was started by anthony? Has he got a birthday book?

Nick, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

RickyT, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Happy Birthday Ally C!

rosemary, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

The withering of AGE doth creep in on Mr. C, who will one day DIE!

But that's neither here nor there -- happy birthday! If you LIVE to tell the tale! *cackling laughter, the clatter of bones*

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Stoppit Ned. Happy Birthday Ally!

Mitch Lastnamewithheld, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

*pouts* Merely having some FUN. *whimpers*

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Happy Birthday Ally C. May your rear never sag!

Tom, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Hip hip hooray for Ally C on his magical birthing day!

james, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Happy Birthday Ally C. Enjoy your day! Hugs Gale.

Gale Deslongchamps, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Er, yeah. What they all said, except with less imminence of withering and dying than Ned's version. Have a good day. Except really I hope you're too busy being in a restaurant or down the bouz0r or some such to read this until it's too late anyway.

Rebecca, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

You see - I almost believe that it can't be 96's birthday. And yet... yes, perhaps it can be. For was it last year, Cookie, that we were down that boozer (Ch Cheese?) and stopped off in McDonalds afterwards, and went our separate ways...was that your birthday? I fear that it was, and that this is too. Darn! I feel I might (= should) have been more prepared for this.

the pinefox, Thursday, 29 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Pinefox is on the money, it was last year in the Cheese.

Ally, I thought it was today, I hang my head in shame, happy belated birthday.

chris, Friday, 30 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Yes, how did Anthony know? Did I mention it somewhere? Thank you anyway, I am the ripe old age of 23. Still older than Lixi, bums.

I said a while ago that I wanted something better than last year's best present, which was a Pinefox t-shirt, and blow me (please) if my friends didn't go out and get me one of them geetar things. Smashing.

As well as this I decided to buy myself those new jeans, a camera, some gloves and a hat and a SIGNED LLOYD COLE RECORD!! Then I went to the pub and won every game of pool. Not a bad day all-in-all.

Ally C, Friday, 30 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Erm, correction. I bought you the hat and gloves, you ungrateful wretch.

Madchen, Friday, 30 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Um, sorry dear.

Ally C, Friday, 30 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Anthony mentioned it after someone else called you Birthday Boy Wee Ally Cook on PF's hot footballers thread

David, Friday, 30 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oop.. Belated happy wishes Ally. Glad it was a goody.

Kim, Saturday, 1 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Hm, Pinefox T-shirt vs Signed Lloyd Record... it's a tough one...

the pinefox, Monday, 3 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Guitar & signed Lloyd record vs Pinefox t-shirt.

Guitar & Lloyd win 2-1 after extra time.

Ally C, Tuesday, 4 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

oiusdhfsd aosdif, Sunday, 7 March 2004 19:24 (twenty-two years ago)

ha ha 96, you have a rival in the ally cook stakes now. and she really is a girl.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 7 March 2004 19:32 (twenty-two years ago)

w-O-w

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 7 March 2004 19:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally Cook rivalry!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 7 March 2004 21:52 (twenty-two years ago)

And the Ally K/Ally C faceoff was fearsome enough.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Sunday, 7 March 2004 23:02 (twenty-two years ago)

I was thinking of starting a thread the other day about the end of the Alistair Cook 'Letter from America' feature on R4, but I figured no one would be interested. Much better to celebrate the charm of our own Cook. God bless him.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Sunday, 7 March 2004 23:44 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not sure I have ever made the Alastair Cook / Alastair Cook connection before. How odd. Or maybe I did and just forgot all about it.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 7 March 2004 23:46 (twenty-two years ago)

or Alasdair Cook and Alistair Cooke, even.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 7 March 2004 23:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I was going to check and chanced it.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 7 March 2004 23:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Wasn't there a female Ally (Ali?) Cook on TV a couple of years ago? I seem to remember Lucy and I going ha ha.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 7 March 2004 23:48 (twenty-two years ago)

(cook, i am sorry for the least google-proofed use of your name ever)

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 7 March 2004 23:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I think Alasdair Cook is quite ungoogelable.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 7 March 2004 23:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Anyway, Happy Birthday Cookie!

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 8 March 2004 01:16 (twenty-two years ago)

BIG LOVE TO THE ALLY C (ARSEMONKEY THOUGH HE BE??)

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Monday, 8 March 2004 01:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Tracer, I fear your grasp of oldskool sinister nomenclature is a little shakey.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Monday, 8 March 2004 01:36 (twenty-two years ago)

This is all rather baffling.

Madchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 09:15 (twenty-two years ago)

where is from n.c. errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr?

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 09:29 (twenty-two years ago)
