hugs not drugs, anthony.

ethan, Friday, 30 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

if you use lemons for cooking, once you've juiced them put your elbows in the empty shells and exfoliate for about 30 seconds! leaves your elbow skin smooth and soft... only don't, like i did, do it when you have a cut on your elbow. it hurts like hell.

katie, Friday, 30 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

But why should elbows get rough? And who would notice anyway? I just checked mine and it seems perfectly smooth quite naturally. Unless I am a freak of nature...

Emma, Friday, 30 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Emma = freak. Which is of course why we all love you and why you let apes live with you.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 30 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

AHA! With my freakishly silky elbows and Evil Overlord Other Half I will rule the world.

Emma, Friday, 30 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

oh, my elbows are rough! though not anymore cos i did the lemon thing last night. they also smell lemony fresh now!

katie, Friday, 30 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

[checks] No - my elbows aren't rough either. Away with your scaly freakshow.

Nick, Friday, 30 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

first sex after hiatus = raw elbows. i haf noticed. and tender pectoral/shoulder place. gloat gloat.

Tracer Hand, Friday, 30 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

My elbows are weird, if I straighten my arms they come in too far making it look as though my arms are big bananas.

Jonnie, Friday, 30 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Are your arms not big bananas, then?

Nick, Friday, 30 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

My knees are pants. Which makes geting dressed all the more difficult.

Ally C, Friday, 30 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Surely easy? (You are already dressed, in America at least)

Nick, Friday, 30 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Washing day must be fun.

Tracer Hand, Friday, 30 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 12:09 (twenty years ago)

That is a nice knee, also a nice skirt.

I am quite attracted by elbows, especially the inside of them. They are so vulnerable looking.

Archel (Archel), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 12:17 (twenty years ago)

Please stop... first the scottish country kilt thread, and now this?

I cannot take any more knee pr0n.

Alce Tea-Skirt (kate), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 12:18 (twenty years ago)

i was gonna start an elbow thread today! weird...
does dimpled elbows = true sign of FATNESS???
i went through this weird pahse where i asked to touch everyone's elbows. this was around the same time as my eat-everything-with-chopsticks (even tho i hate asian food) phase...

dahlin (dahlin), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 12:20 (twenty years ago)

Oh don't, Nick - Kate is overexcited enough already!

-- Archel (slightlyfoxe...), August 10th, 2005 1:21 PM. (Archel) (later)

Alce Tea-Skirt (kate), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 12:22 (twenty years ago)

Haha, all the Nicks are out to excite you today :)

Archel (Archel), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 12:23 (twenty years ago)

my elbows are brown, unlike the rest of my arms - the hazards of playing around with the sublime bronze.

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 12:23 (twenty years ago)

Now those are a nice pair of knees...rrowrr! Who do they belong to?

Stone Monkey (Stone Monkey), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 12:24 (twenty years ago)

left elbow rough, right elbow smooth, brain, seemingly short of things to do.

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 12:26 (twenty years ago)

With your arm straight, pinch and pull the skin on your elbow. How much does it stretch? How much is normal?

clive (Clive), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 12:38 (twenty years ago)

I have brown elbows too. It's because I started using Holiday Skin.

Mädchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 12:39 (twenty years ago)

i want this holiday skin. where do i get it?

dahlin (dahlin), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 12:41 (twenty years ago)

I wish I had nice knees, and nice legs to go with them. But my knees are horrible and ill-fitted, and my legs are transparant and white.

Come Back Johnny B (Johnney B), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 12:41 (twenty years ago)

Like... empty milk bottles?

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 12:42 (twenty years ago)

knees are easy to draw, elbows piss me off.

g-kit (g-kit), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 12:43 (twenty years ago)

ha! i've been using holiday skin as well, madchen (it's johnson & johnson body lotion w/ a small amt of self-tanner). that may actually be responsible for overbrown elbows more than the sublime bronze, come to think of it.

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 12:44 (twenty years ago)

My grandma's trick for 'proving' when you were finally old: pinch the skin of your elbow out then let go, if it pops back straight away your skin is still all youthful. If not, you are OLD.

On reflection this seems slightly obvious.

Archel (Archel), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 12:48 (twenty years ago)

My elbows were just medium rough until I started breastfeeding. I often prop myself up on an elbow while I'm feeding Cyrus at night. They got so rough I started putting Lansinoh on them. Rufus has been kissing my elbows to make them feel better, cuz they get a little sore.

Maria :D (Maria D.), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 12:48 (twenty years ago)

Lauren, if I didn't know you I'd start to think you were me. I think I'm going to keep on with the Holiday Skin but use normal body lotion on my elbows. They get all elephanty if I don't use anything.

Mädchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 13:00 (twenty years ago)

i bought holiday skin today!

dahlin (dahlin), Wednesday, 10 August 2005 17:40 (twenty years ago)

two years pass...

*grumble* Knee-aches = not my friend.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 16:36 (eighteen years ago)

Knees and elbows do not like torsion.
