I tried to find this the other day when I had to battle my old nemesis, A TRUCK, in Resident Evil 4.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 22 February 2005 19:58 (nineteen years ago) link

The strip is, you know, kind of funny. But I don't think Stan Lee really wrote it. Spider Man isn't usually funny, which is why I think that.

AtrueFan, Tuesday, 22 February 2005 21:22 (nineteen years ago) link

FAPPO!

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 22 February 2005 21:27 (nineteen years ago) link

"Hey creeps, let Hitler go!"

Matt Chesnut, Tuesday, 22 February 2005 21:39 (nineteen years ago) link

In fact, I think maybe they're making fun of Stan Lee. WHich isn't very nice. Plus there's bad language.

AtrueFan, Tuesday, 22 February 2005 21:42 (nineteen years ago) link

The tears. I'm so glad this has come up again.

Deerninja B4rim4, Plus-Tech Whizz Kid (Barima), Tuesday, 22 February 2005 21:47 (nineteen years ago) link

I have actually used the phrase "I'll pay you... IN R@pe Doll@r$" completely out of context several times.

jocelyn (Jocelyn), Tuesday, 22 February 2005 21:50 (nineteen years ago) link

'rape dollars' has become a regular fixture in my vocabulary as well

squeeee (PUNXSUTAWNEY PENIS), Tuesday, 22 February 2005 21:52 (nineteen years ago) link

Oh, so beautiful. Been a while since I've seen this as well.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 22 February 2005 21:55 (nineteen years ago) link

Do you people have to make fun of things in order to have a good time?

AtrueFan, Tuesday, 22 February 2005 22:12 (nineteen years ago) link

Yes.

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 22 February 2005 22:14 (nineteen years ago) link

I see.

Well, at least I hope you'd agree that we don’t have to take our clothes off to have a good time , oh, no...

ATrueFan, Tuesday, 22 February 2005 22:25 (nineteen years ago) link

Most of my good times involve taking clothes off, and then making fun of things.

n/a (Nick A.), Tuesday, 22 February 2005 22:26 (nineteen years ago) link

Trayce (trayce), Wednesday, 23 February 2005 05:25 (nineteen years ago) link

If IE 6 wasn't shrinking all of the comics to fit my browser, I'd probably be all sandy vagina about verbatim-quoting, too, but since I can't actually read these things because they're showing up so small I've been vicariously reliving them through the verbatim quotes.

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 23 February 2005 13:06 (nineteen years ago) link

Dan you can switch that off in one of the 'advanced' options under the 'tools' menu...

tools > internet options > advanced

and scroll down to 'multimedia' settings -> turn off 'automatic image resizing' or summat

Snowy Mann (rdmanston), Wednesday, 23 February 2005 13:13 (nineteen years ago) link

Or just click on the resize button.

Jarlr'mai (jarlrmai), Wednesday, 23 February 2005 13:48 (nineteen years ago) link

Bah, like I want to know how IE works.

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 23 February 2005 14:06 (nineteen years ago) link

dan, i figured the quoting was a good way to point out to ILX that there are other things contained in that comic than the "rape dollars" quote that has been posted 78 times already on ILX.

Allyzay Dallas Multi-Pass (allyzay), Wednesday, 23 February 2005 18:57 (nineteen years ago) link
