I am six foot one. When I was 25, I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, which is an infection of the small bowel. The year before, I was around eight stone, which is quite light for my height to say the least. I got operated on, and nowadays I'm around 12 to 13 stone.
At previous jobs, I got known as an inveterate snacker, and would get "Wow, how can you eat so much and never put on any weight, I gain a half stone if I even look at a caramel bar" and all that.
So, lately, noticing a bit of a belly on me, thought it better to cut out snickers bars and do salads for a bit. But, the day before this, My mother says "Oh, you're getting rather thin, you eating OK" and such.. So, if I get back to a normal without belly shape, I could be 'going down' again.
I know, I know...

So mark, do you think or do you know if crohn's is getting more prevalent, because it seems like a lot of people i know have it, mostly guys.

Yes they do. (or, Beth, yes, I don't know Mike)
The Beth Orton was weird, as she bears a strong resemblance to Dawn, same age as well, but she is my height. There was a big and informative page on the condition on one of the Beth sites, but it disappeared as quickly. (It did look like beth had 'endorsed it').

I suppose this goes along with 'people who had weight problems in the other directions that now don't necessarily want to be permanently overweight just to prove that they aren't 'going downhill' once again'.
