And So I Was All Like "OMG, This Is The 'Brag About Something Stupid Thread for 2005'!"

1. Last night, my local high school, the Madison Memorial Spartans, led by future Marquette star Wesley Matthews Jr., won the Wisconsin state Division 1 high school basketball championship.

I actually found someone who was willing to pay $30 for "Cobra Live at the Knitting Factory."

Unexpected book leads! Travel plans coming together well! Decisions that will rake in a lot of cash at no cost! Etc. I love me.

But I suppose those aren't stupid. Hm. Got a free breakfast today for hosting my friend Matt the previous day, RAH!

I mulched the little bit of ground outside my apartment, which involved raking, bagging leaves and garbage, and lugging three huge bags of red mulch from my trunk. By myself. It looks great.

I also half-painted my wicker end table (my parents' honeymoon purchase in the late 70s, gifted to me). I ran out of paint, will have to buy tomorrow.

I'm going to rip off the music industry by making a Scritti Politti-esque arc in career. Hence why I'll be included on NME's C06 compilation next year.

Oh, and my pop hits will be loosely about:
Hugh Hefner and bourgeois "playboy" figures
Parodying my love for anarchist Voltairine de Cleyre and how I want to find a woman like her
Emile Zola's Germinal
Political dissidents forming a mobile network of communes a la New Babylon in the (eventual, hopefully) Ludic Revolution
The Theatre of Cruelty applied to real life
A derivative Baudrillard-influenced look at the dreams of economists and theorists of war
Plays by Ibsen, Strindberg, and Buchner
Closely Watched Trains and other wonderful works of cinema from the Sixties
Actresses from the Sixties that Roger Vadim and Serge Gainsbourg banged

Yet somehow I'll find a way to make them sound modern and relevant and catchy to the ears of unsuspecting Catholic schoolgirls.

Today I guilt-tripped the window installers to come back here and fix the broken blinds that they originally secured with SCOTCH TAPE.

Today was my best friend's wedding shower and I made the best paper plate hat with all the ribbons and bows and fancy wrapping paper stuff. It was a tacky monstrosity. She wore it for aproximately 10 seconds.
