The Lemon Cure

When I use fresh lemon juice to make salad dressing, I usually just drink the remaining lemon juice I don't use. I have found that it helps clear my sinuses, and in a more gentle way than chili pepper or horse-radish. So I am going to experiment with regularly drinking lemon juice. I actually like the flavor of it. I'll report back if it changes my life.

I wondered if it had a down side.

So it is actually bad for teeth? Is there any way to work around that?

Drink it instead of eat it? That'd help.. maybe wash the mouth with water after?

Ive read a few times that lemon juice is a good detox/digestive thing. I often crave juice in water when hung over, so I drink a few lemons worth and it really refreshes.

Also I loveloveLOVE dressings made of lemon juice and tons of salt and garlic.

drink it thru a straw?

yeah then rinse out.

yeah I suppose drinking it with a straw would be good.

I used to eat lemons like oranges until my dentist forbade me. :(

I don't eat that much lemon. Mostly just drink it. I was playing with an idea for a roast beet/lemon chunk salad with a lemon juice/olive oil dressing with (salt-cured) capers and I'm not sure what else. (I actually don't do much in the kitchen these days.)

Citrus + garlic + ginger + olive oil = a good "cleanse" for the liver, apparently.
