Useful Things I used to Not Do:
- Use Conditioner, and as a result, my hair was a catastrophe (and not in any sort've cool, punky way).
- Separate my whites and colors when doing my laundry.
- Learn how to drive.
- Floss

Dumb things I used to Do:
- Wear black t-shirts under white Oxford shirts.
- Wear a brown belt with black jeans
- Listen to headphones with the volume all the way up at all times.
- Crack my knuckles constantly

Other than "Drink until pukening", I can't think of anything right now.

dave225 (Dave225), Wednesday, 23 March 2005 20:38 (twenty-one years ago)

'The Pukening', coming to theaters this summer.

M. White (Miguelito), Wednesday, 23 March 2005 20:39 (twenty-one years ago)

something i don't do: wash down 10 valium with a bottle of whiskey and black out all nite and yet somehow stay on my feet the entire time only to wake up in my bed the next morning wondering what the hell happened to me. now i eat a pint of ice cream and fall sleep drooling on the couch. oh, and i no longer snort coke in the boy's bathroom between study hall and science. or take bad mescaline before 7 a.m. (i wait till tea time now.)

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 23 March 2005 20:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Listen to "Birthday" by the Sugarcubes before going to school. Oh no, wrong thread, I wish I could!

youn, Wednesday, 23 March 2005 20:45 (twenty-one years ago)

No longer do: Drink a lot and go up to girls and sit on the floor, hugging the legs of their chair as they engaged in civilized conversation with others.

i also haven't overdosed on vivarin and blamed my non-stop vomiting on a bad hotdog to my horrified parents since 1985. or tried to steal a cd player that was chained to a wall in my local supermarket (that i worked at) in the middle of the day while high on pain pills since 1985 either.

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 23 March 2005 20:49 (twenty-one years ago)

What an entertaining scoundrel you must have been, Scott, at least in 1985.

M. White (Miguelito), Wednesday, 23 March 2005 20:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Unfortunately I still engage in most of the same behavior as I did in college, including drinking to the point of "pukening". It was endearing in college; now I think I'm just an alcoholic.

One thing I didn't do in college was work ridiculous hours at a stressful job for money. I miss that.

Is there anyone on this thread who wasn't a reckless hybrid of Syd Barrett and Keef Richards?

Tuomas (Tuomas), Wednesday, 23 March 2005 20:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I guess I have one--I haven't urinated in the movie return slot of a Blockbuster Video since college, or build a $300 beer pong table called "The Taj" that we bolted into the hardwood floor of our living room. I haven't read a psychology textbook since then either.

jay blanchard (jay blanchard), Wednesday, 23 March 2005 20:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I wasn't, Alex! I was actually quite the teetotaller in my youf.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 23 March 2005 20:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Wednesday, 23 March 2005 20:58 (twenty-one years ago)

My friends were always like "dude, are you rebelling by not rebelling?". It was really more like I just didn't feel like it, GAWD.

Is there anyone on this thread who wasn't a reckless hybrid of Syd Barrett and Keef Richards?

I sure as fuck wasn't. This is how I retain my dewy complexion.

Useful Things I Used to Not Do in High School:
*Homework.

Oh yeah, this should've been on my list, too.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 23 March 2005 21:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Pee on the watermelons out front of Safeway. But you don't eat the rind, so I guess it doesn't really matter anyway.

"I guess I have one--I haven't urinated in the movie return slot of a Blockbuster Video since college"

Bingo! Thanks for reminding me. I haven't urinated on the floor at McDonalds since high school either. oh, and it wasn't the bathroom floor either. look, i'm not proud of these things, but since you asked. and the really pitiful stuff happened in my 20's. i'll save that for another thread.

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 23 March 2005 21:09 (twenty-one years ago)

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 23 March 2005 21:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Wednesday, 23 March 2005 21:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Stuff Not Done:
1. Set afire the pig-tails on the girl who believed in earnest the sugar and spice everything nice rubbish about her gender, and it's male converse. The missed opportunity continues to present itself, although pigtails are rarely presented nows, replaced by short stiff manly coiffs, deliciously layered with hair-spray, enabling a delightful quiet explosion if torched. I ache to hear the "Poof"!

2. Not wearing underwear. The lack of clean laundry the cause of much stress-filled morning ritual, followed by a day of full morbid fear your dirty little secret will be discovered. How ridiculous.

Stuff Done, Wished he hadn't:
First day at art class, figure painting, prestigous art studio. Model arrives late. Hurridly removes clothing in full view of novice painters, one with mouth ajar. "Look!", he yells in delighted shock at discovery, pointing shamelessly at late model wriggling out of her skirt, "She is not wearing panties!" Sadly, without the blush of youth even to blame for such a vulgar outburst.

i think i've been predictably consistent my whole life, i was just painfully insecure about it for about a 15-20 year gap in the middle.
