I can't decide whether I think they're hott or whether they're the most insanely irritating thing since "Talkback Live".

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 28 March 2005 20:29 (twenty-one years ago)

wait ... so there's an ENTIRE show of chix monitoring blogs?!? that sounds like the most BORING thing imaginable.

Eisbär (llamasfur), Monday, 28 March 2005 20:31 (twenty-one years ago)

no the most boring thing imaginable is two men doing the same

miccio (miccio), Monday, 28 March 2005 20:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Nah, it's just a segment during certain shows (most recently on Inside Politics). I'd post images if I could get their names. They're both perfectly cute, but one of them seems to take herself and her endeavor incredibly seriously. It just seems much ado about nothing....and why does it require two of them?

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 28 March 2005 20:34 (twenty-one years ago)

(...beyond the tantalizing possiblity of hott girl on girl action, obv.)

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 28 March 2005 20:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Checks and balances, Alex.

Also, catering to the horny male demographic doesn't hurt.

David R. (popshots75`), Monday, 28 March 2005 20:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Is there a leftie and a rightie, or just a free-for-all blog orgy? Also, are there any CNN promos that feature pictures of them looking cute-perky w/ the sound of a zipper opening in the background?

David R. (popshots75`), Monday, 28 March 2005 20:40 (twenty-one years ago)

ally and teeny!

Eisbär (llamasfur), Monday, 28 March 2005 20:40 (twenty-one years ago)

No promo yet, but I could certainly see them getting one. As far as I can tell, they're not divided by web idealogy...they just take turns pointing out things written on various blogs.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 28 March 2005 20:41 (twenty-one years ago)

And I assume these are political blogs they're discussing, and they're not spidering pre-teen LiveJournal personal blogs. (Though, hell, given their coverage of the MJ trial & Martha Stewart, what the fuck, go for the gold.)

David R. (popshots75`), Monday, 28 March 2005 20:46 (twenty-one years ago)

zzzzz

(except for the dynamic - Judy playing catch with the kiddies)

gabbneb (gabbneb), Monday, 28 March 2005 20:49 (twenty-one years ago)

who cares about them...daryn kagan and weather-stud-man rob marciano (rowr) are where the morning hottness is!!

special guest appearance, Monday, 28 March 2005 21:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Ha - a G00gle of Daryn Kagan brought up a pic of RUSH LIMBAUGH!

Here's a pic of one-half of the duo for y'all to talk / complain / drool about.

David R. (popshots75`), Monday, 28 March 2005 22:31 (twenty-one years ago)

daryn kagan & rush limbaugh = the yoko and john of political punditry?

does rush split his oxys w/ her, or does he get her a whole bag of her own?

...with some creepy Republican mook.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 16 May 2005 19:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Incidentally, BLOGS are the new millenial equivalent of CB radio. Let's all get over it.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 16 May 2005 19:29 (twenty-one years ago)

10-4!

Paul in Santa Cruz (Paul in Santa Cruz), Monday, 16 May 2005 19:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Aw, that's what they said about the Internet, Good Buddy.

Huk-L, Monday, 16 May 2005 20:00 (twenty-one years ago)

There was a pretty good piece on the Daily Show making fun of this blog program.

Leon Federline (Ex Leon), Monday, 16 May 2005 20:01 (twenty-one years ago)

so this is the right-wing version of those "hotties" that review video games on cable?

The Sensational Sulk (sexyDancer), Monday, 16 May 2005 20:03 (twenty-one years ago)

oh jesus does that shirt really say "local 43"?? I really hope some teamsters beat his ass.

teeny (teeny), Monday, 16 May 2005 20:06 (twenty-one years ago)

I hate how all the 24 hr news channels have a 'WHAT ARE THE BLOGGARS SAYING TODAY??' segment. Its always really inane and just kinda regurgitates whats already out there. Thanks CNN.

I like that the only picture on Daver's link at the moment is a statue in a fountain.

Abbie Tatton, frozen as she was about to drop it like it's hot to some political science

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 16 May 2005 21:24 (twenty-one years ago)

You think that's bad? Check out this recent cover story from the Arkansas Times
I imagine an aging monk, hands gnarled, body bent from years of copying sacred texts. His world is one of libraries, manuscripts and quills — until the day he sees a page by Gutenberg. He cannot fathom the work’s significance.
Still, a thought penetrates like ink: in the mechanical world ahead, anyone might be able to read. Anyone might become a scribe. In a flash like revelation, he sees a future in which letters fly everywhere, filling the air like gnats.

It took less than 550 years for the once erudite world of publishing to move from Gutenberg’s Bible to blogs.

Maybe in 2008, they'll do a cover story on internet message boards. WHERE TEH MONKS COME TOGETHER AND COMPARE GNARLY HANDS.
