But we make such nice jackets!

Heather G, Wednesday, 30 March 2005 01:57 (twenty-one years ago)

I wore a coat today :(

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 02:09 (twenty-one years ago)

me too, what Toronto are you talkin about?

p.s. toronto music lovers, don't miss dead meadow at the horseshoe tomorrow... heavy riffs.

scout (scout), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 02:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Wow, this sounds good:

http://www.eye.net/eye/issue/issue_03.24.05/music/meet.html

I read the description of their music and my first thought was "this sounds just like the Warlocks" ... and sure enough, they toured together.

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 02:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Is that Celcius, sundar?

Leeeter van den Hoogenband (Leee), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 02:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes. I did wear a sweater but I still felt warm. Wimps.

I may go to that tomorrow... I still owe MIR a CD or two. When does the show start?

sundar subramanian (sundar), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 02:30 (twenty-one years ago)

yes, def. warlocks connection. you should come... i think it's $12 or so and they only come around about once a year. and i've never heard jennifer gentle, the band opening, but my roommate says they're rad.

scout (scout), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 02:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Jennifer Gentle is a nice band name. I'm going to try to d/l some things by those bands.

sundar subramanian (sundar), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 02:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, it's twelve bucks ... I'm definitely going.

Show probably starts around 10?

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 02:36 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah, i'd aim for openers at 10, DM at 11... usual intended show time. say hi if you're there: short girl, brown bangs... ah i'm trying to not sound like i look like everyone.. um, piercing in my face... oh shit.

scout (scout), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 02:38 (twenty-one years ago)

We look like this:

sundar subramanian (sundar), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 02:49 (twenty-one years ago)

wow, that makes things much easier. ok, i will say hi then!

scout (scout), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 03:03 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm the taller one.

:)

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 03:09 (twenty-one years ago)

What's the nearest cross street to the Horseshoe?

sundar subramanian (sundar), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 03:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Spadina and Queen West.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 03:20 (twenty-one years ago)

We're still on for this, right? I'll remember the CDs, I swear.

sundar subramanian (sundar), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 18:12 (twenty-one years ago)

I wore my jacket yesterday. But walking around Queen yesterday made me think about starting a similar thread. Only a bit more to do with the reemergence of cleav outdoors.

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 18:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I rode my bike last night to see my lady!

BOATPEOPLEHATEFUCK (ex machina), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 18:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Hell yeah, it's on. I even made a detour this afternoon and bought a ticket.

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 20:15 (twenty-one years ago)

The Horseshoe is where I learned how much I dislike My Morning Jacket (2 years ago).

Get em to book someone decent during the SABR convention in August!

Dr Morbius (Dr Morbius), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 20:20 (twenty-one years ago)

What is a SABR and can we eat it?

I've got a hockey game otherwise I'd be there myself.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 20:32 (twenty-one years ago)

You have a hockey game tomorrow?

Kim (Kim), Thursday, 31 March 2005 01:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Picastro are playing the Rivoli tonight. If I didn't have a large puck sized bruise on my thigh... :(

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 31 March 2005 19:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Why do you all your excuses involve hockey?

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Thursday, 31 March 2005 19:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Cause soccer season hasn't started yet.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 31 March 2005 19:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Neither has hockey season.

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Thursday, 31 March 2005 19:15 (twenty-one years ago)

score Barry 1 NHL 0.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 31 March 2005 19:17 (twenty-one years ago)

I have seen the bruise. It is excuse worthy. Extra super bonus - it's making him walk funny.

Kim (Kim), Friday, 1 April 2005 01:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Where exactly IS this bruise?

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Friday, 1 April 2005 02:00 (twenty-one years ago)

No wait, I don't want to think about that.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Friday, 1 April 2005 02:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Aw, crap, too late.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Friday, 1 April 2005 02:01 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm not sure how to respond to that you know.

Kim (Kim), Friday, 1 April 2005 02:10 (twenty-one years ago)

With pics.

Please,

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Friday, 1 April 2005 03:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Only if I could find my rugby shorts.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Friday, 1 April 2005 04:05 (twenty-one years ago)

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Friday, 1 April 2005 12:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Who needs coffee when you got my snug rugby shorts on your mind.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Friday, 1 April 2005 13:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Is Sean, like, ok?

Kim (Kim), Monday, 4 April 2005 19:28 (twenty-one years ago)

I wore a coat again today -- why??????

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Monday, 4 April 2005 22:33 (twenty-one years ago)

hey Spring, how's it going? Got a sec? I don't wanna seem unappreciative --- I mean I love the nice weather and your ability to get girls to show their legs, but, um, where the fuck am I supposed to put my cellphone?

()ops (()()ps), Monday, 4 April 2005 22:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Stuff one bra.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Monday, 4 April 2005 22:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Hi ()ops,

Check out cell phone holders that clip to your belt. If you don't have a belt they can clip to your beltloop instead. Hope this helps!

Your friend,
Spring

Spring (SeanC), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 00:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, that weekend was a real letdown.

Had a chance to listen to the CDs yet, MindInRewind? No worries if you haven't; I still need to give your Kraftwerk a good listen. Maybe I'll do that now...

sundar subramanian (sundar), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 00:24 (twenty-one years ago)

"snug rugby shorts" had zero hits on google. but an image search for plain old "rugby shorts" yeilded this gem of a page from the first result: members.aol.com/smsquaddie/ shorts/whiteshorts.htm

spring is sprung

Kim (Kim), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 00:39 (twenty-one years ago)

oh i fucked that up. feel free to enjoy the entire earch then

Kim (Kim), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 00:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Have you been drinking, Kim?

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 00:46 (twenty-one years ago)

heh. no. but i'm kind of sick.

Kim (Kim), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 00:48 (twenty-one years ago)

And twisted?

the fucker that will burn you (sundar), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 00:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Hmm, the UK Autobahn tour is pretty great so far.

the fucker that will burn you (sundar), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 00:52 (twenty-one years ago)

you imply that like i'm going to have a problem admitting it!

Kim (Kim), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 00:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Well why aren't you?

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 01:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Drinking that is.

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 01:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Sundar, I've listened to head phone over tone, but not Building Castles Out of Matchsticks.

Anyhow, "Solar Sails" is excellent -- compared to their last album, they've cooled down them drones dang near absolute zero and stretched them out to near-infinite lengths. The Stars of the Lid comparisons write themselves.

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 02:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Hurrah for Head|Phone|Over|Tone!

What is up with Ambient Ping nights anyways?

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 02:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Thanks Spring, but---here I go being unappreciative again---those phone clip things for belts are DOR-KY!
BTW, how is Autumn doing? Give her my best.

()ops (()()ps), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 04:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Don't tell me you're wearing coats today.

the fucker that will burn you (sundar), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 15:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I wore a coat! I was looking ahead to the evening, when it's supposed to go down to about six.

Dumb.

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 16:49 (twenty-one years ago)

I haven't had a coatless day yet.
Pantless - now that's a different story!

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 17:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Wait for the next FAP!

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 17:16 (twenty-one years ago)

I wanted it to be a surprise!

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 17:19 (twenty-one years ago)

fuck surprise. we want full nudity scheduling!

(i have an erasable calendar on my fridge)

Kim (Kim), Tuesday, 5 April 2005 23:33 (twenty-one years ago)
