Rebel Hairs

I have a hair on my shoulder I call "The Renegade." I'm fair and blonde but this strange hair is black as the night, unlike anything else. It's as though I got a one-hair transplant from Lou Ferigno, on my shoulder.

I have one on my brow called "The Benchmark." This represents my hairline at childhood, so I can monitor the recession and take action if need be. It's about a half-inch below the rest of them.

I realize you may not have named them, but tell me of your ANOMALOUS rebel hairs.

1. Deviating from the normal or common order, form, or rule.
2. Equivocal, as in classification or nature.

[From Late Latin anōmalos, from Greek, uneven : probably from an-, not; see a–1 + homalos, even (from homos, same).]

Ha ha, I have ROGUE CHIN HAIR(s)!!!

Two of them. One grows out of a mole and is black, the other grows right next to it and is blonde. If I don't cut them every week or so, they can grow to be extraordinarily long - once on holiday they got to be an inch or two!

What is Nair?

Blimey Kate, I read that as rouge chin hairs. The terrifying Mick Hucknell vision means I'll be leaving the light on tonight.

Maybe I should dye them red! Ha ha!

I have a series of somewhere between 3-7 extremely long hairs growing in each eyebrow. They are thick enough as is, but these wily guys are like bright white/gold/red, and go all sticky-uppy, Sarumon style.

One rogue blonde eyelash that my girlfriend is always trying to vanquish. She will not win.

A / F#m / Bm / D (Lynskey), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 16:55 (twenty-one years ago)

I have the same thing nickalcious has. Some day when I'm grey, I will grow out the brows and beard and impersonate G.B. Shaw.

M. White (Miguelito), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 17:55 (twenty-one years ago)

I also have a strange, long, wispy white hair on my forearm. It looks like an albino hair, and grows quickly. I've grown fond of it.

I have two silver hairs on my head. They're not gray or white, they're really silver. Bizarre. I hope my whole head turns silver when I'm older. That would kick ass.

Je4nne ƒury (Jeanne Fury), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 19:10 (twenty-one years ago)

I think you'd look cool with silver hair, Jeanne.

jaymc (jaymc), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 19:12 (twenty-one years ago)

They look like tinsel!

I have a rogue neck hair

I have one (1) mole on the left side of my cheek. It's just about the size of a pencil-tip, and a really nice brown color. It's like a lucky-mark. Problem is: it occasionally sprouts a hair. No rhyme or reason. At intervals from 1 day - 6 mos. I'd like to name it, in honor of this thread, 'Andy Sprout.'

Remy Ulysses Fitzgerald (x Jeremy), Thursday, 31 March 2005 03:41 (twenty-one years ago)

I've got a few of these around. The most bizarre one is this dark single hair on my right earlobe that has been there for about 15 years.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 31 March 2005 03:45 (twenty-one years ago)

It must be 7 feet long by now!

My crazy hair grows straight outta the ears. I'll braid it tomorrow.

jim wentworth (wench), Thursday, 31 March 2005 04:04 (twenty-one years ago)

My eyebrows: fairly think, dark brown, very slight monobrow. In centre, one bright white hair way thicker than the rest, wtf.

I like the idea of naming these!

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Thursday, 31 March 2005 04:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Yay shaving!

I have recently been afflicted with the straight-out-of-the-ear hair and am annoyed at this evidence of alleged aging. (I believe the latter to be a crime invented by others to mock me as they creak into the grave.)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 31 March 2005 04:07 (twenty-one years ago)

I have one growing out of a small non-mole-like bump (not lump) on the underside of my left arm where no hair typically grows. It grows at about 5x speed of normal hair and is black. It's basically a super-pube teleported to the wrong part of my body.

Dan I. (Dan I.), Thursday, 31 March 2005 04:45 (twenty-one years ago)

my rebel hairs have formed an alliance against the Death Scalp

Yup.

I also have one single hair in the middle of the top of my left foot. No others for miles around, and none on the other foot.
