i say d, but that's extrapolating.

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 17:52 (twenty-one years ago)

this is what ilx does.

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 17:54 (twenty-one years ago)

d sharp vs. c flat - extrapolate!

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 17:55 (twenty-one years ago)

t\'\'t you are the only one who understands me.

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 18:10 (twenty-one years ago)

i feel like maybe there's a story behind this thread.

jaymc (jaymc), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 18:11 (twenty-one years ago)

now you're insinuating.

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 18:11 (twenty-one years ago)

this is my favourite activity!!

(everyone else: yes it is, so DUD)

mark s (mark s), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 18:13 (twenty-one years ago)

classic when i do it, dud when anyone else does it.

ailsa (ailsa), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 18:14 (twenty-one years ago)

I interpolate

BOATPEOPLEHATEFUCK (ex machina), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 18:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Polating should be done in moderation.

M. White (Miguelito), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 18:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Classic when it keeps me from having to explain. Dud when you're wrong.

dave225 (Dave225), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 18:39 (twenty-one years ago)

how does extrapolating tie in to making assumptions?

()ops (()()ps), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 18:44 (twenty-one years ago)

you tell me

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 18:50 (twenty-one years ago)

i tell: c flat!

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 19:18 (twenty-one years ago)

are we talking maths? if so: CLASSIC

gygax! (gygax!), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 23:15 (twenty-one years ago)

this is weird, I just taught a co-worker the word 'extrapolate' last week(he's a young guy trying to build his vocabulary), and the conversation went from that to race relations to the movie vs. TV versions of 'Paper Chase' and fizzled out cos after a while I looked like a loafer hanging around his cubicle. Then this thread.

TS: extrapolation vs. extemporisation

maria tessa sciarrino (theoreticalgirl), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 23:43 (twenty-one years ago)

the grass is always greener on the extrapolated side
but
the bread is always buttered on the extemporised side.
that's basically it.

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Thursday, 31 March 2005 08:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Extrapolation is the Quantum Mechanics of human relationships.

Therefore it is classic.

Masonic Cathedral (kate), Thursday, 31 March 2005 08:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Extrapolation is the Quantum Mechanics of human relationships.

That rings too true to be true.

Still classic though. Extrapolating from anything TO anything is the best fun ever.

Fire engines are red. Fire engines are always rushin'! And that's why Russians are red!

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 31 March 2005 13:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Bah, let's bust out the cubic splines and be done with it.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 31 March 2005 13:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Johnney B (Johnney B), Thursday, 31 March 2005 13:57 (twenty-one years ago)

whats inference?
Fonzarelli? You're Irish, right?

What's Interpolation? I remember the word from Geometry....

dave225 (Dave225), Thursday, 31 March 2005 14:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Interpolation involves wearing tight black suits with black shirts and early-eighties derived post-punk music. It may also involve herpes.

M. White (Miguelito), Thursday, 31 March 2005 17:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Hume to thread.
