Does this have anything to do with the country music festival of the same name in deepest, darkest Wisconsin? All kinds of people I used to work with went every year. The lineup consistantly made me sick.

xpost, yes! I don't know anything about the country festival, but the hodag does indeed haunt Rhinelander, WI (hence the museum they have for it).

The Rhinelander sports teams are called The Hodags. I have a shirt and some gear from when I spent a week there.
