If you get the chance to see this French film, I recommend it. It had everything I've missed in indie/arty films lately -- humanity, complex characters, superb acting, a lack of visual gimmicks, a nice balance between freshness and conventionality, witty writing, etc. A bit like a French Woody Allen film, except with no central, irritating Woody Allen-type character.
