Please tell me i'm not the only one playing this. This game is great, tho kinda short. still, it's fun to run around as little mini-fig versions of the characters. Look! little lego mace windu just lopped off the head of lego jango fett!

demo is

oops. demo is here, actually.

kingfish maximum overdrunk (Kingfish), Monday, 16 May 2005 04:52 (twenty-one years ago)

I almost got this for Xbox a few weeks ago.

Huk-L, Monday, 16 May 2005 05:28 (twenty-one years ago)

played the ps2 demo last week, very giddy indeed.

Ste (Fuzzy), Monday, 16 May 2005 07:23 (twenty-one years ago)

okay, beat the regular storyline, now its time to hunt and find 100% of the collectible shit.

running around as Mace Windu is fun.

I checked this out from Blockbuster, it's a good check-out game because it's really easy and short and fun.

For some reason I keep forgetting that I can rent games. I bought Star Wars Battlefront last week on a whim (new!), and a couple of the battles were exciting but now I'm basically sick of it (and disappointed with the vehicle aspect).

I will def. rent LEGO STAR WARS though.

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 15:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Be warned: Blockbuster charges EIGHT FUCKING DOLLARS to check out a game now. What a rip.

n/a (Nick A.), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 15:33 (twenty-one years ago)

I got bored of it after about twenty minutes. Cool idea, but poorly executed.

polyphonic (polyphonic), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 16:01 (twenty-one years ago)

There's a Hollywood Video a block from my place that's attached to a Gamestop, hopefully they have a better deal.

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 16:14 (twenty-one years ago)

I wish Netflix or Zip (the Cdn version) did video games.

Huk-L, Tuesday, 17 May 2005 16:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Theres a game netflix-esque video game service.. A friend of mine has a subscription.. I think its similar prices too. I'll be damned if I knew what it was called tho.

i think it's called Gamefly. I have not used it though.

Zebra, Alpha Go! (cprek), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 19:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I wish there was a Lego Star Wars tactical RPG.

Or fuck that, a Lego-themed real time strategy game. Possibly involving time travel.

TOMBOT, Tuesday, 17 May 2005 20:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Did anyone ever play the SW game that was like CivStarWars? Galaxies, I think it was called?

Battlegrounds was way disappointing...

Jimmy Mod, Sultan of Sexxitime (ModJ), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 22:30 (twenty-one years ago)

they're coming out with "Empire at War", in an attempt to be better than just an AOE2 clone...

this is of course coming out on the same day that they are releasing special 2-disc editions of the movies so that actual real fans who enjoyed the movies when they came out the first time can watch them as nature intended and not in their polluted borg forms. that will perhaps be a somewhat expensive day for me.

TOMBOT (TOMBOT), Friday, 5 May 2006 16:41 (twenty years ago)

This game, the forthcoming sequel, and the rerelease of the theatrical editions of the movies I consider to be exemplary showcases of the power of the free market in the information age.

TOMBOT (TOMBOT), Friday, 5 May 2006 16:43 (twenty years ago)

Just so you know.

TOMBOT (TOMBOT), Friday, 5 May 2006 16:43 (twenty years ago)

I can't view the clip at work. Do they have lego cloud cars & lego imperial walkers in the game?

or those black lego bespin dudes?

That's 'cause droids don't pull people's arms out of their sockets when they lose.

In 2006, you will believe that a Lego can sneer.

kingfish doesn't live here anymore (kingfish 2.0), Friday, 5 May 2006 17:08 (twenty years ago)

Original game (and this one, I'm sure) are superfun.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Friday, 5 May 2006 23:10 (twenty years ago)

Haha, this will be my next video game.

kingfish trapped under ice (kingfish 2.0), Saturday, 19 August 2006 17:33 (nineteen years ago)

one year passes...

Bought the first one recently. Just going for the hundred now. The unlockables aren't as much fun also wookie doesn't tear out arms. I hadn't seen the second film but if the cut scenes are anything to go by: WTF is up with that shit? Preggers Natalie Portman minifig more convincing as a real live person!

kv_nol, Tuesday, 28 August 2007 15:25 (eighteen years ago)

i just completed II last night!!

yeah if you've played that there's really no reason to play the first one.

gff, Tuesday, 28 August 2007 15:27 (eighteen years ago)

My 5-year-old cousin was playing this last time I visited family, and I got to mess around with it for a few minutes. Didn't really play enough to figure out how fun/engrossing it could be, but I find it ten times more appealing to play a movie adaptation video game if their little lego characters instead of creepy/crappy attempts at 'realistic' humanoid characters.

Alex in Baltimore, Tuesday, 28 August 2007 15:28 (eighteen years ago)

yeah if you've played that there's really no reason to play the first one.

Oh I dunno, I like being Darth Maul :)

kv_nol, Tuesday, 28 August 2007 15:52 (eighteen years ago)

I just got back into playing II, although I'm not completely sure what I'm doing. Is it better to just complete all the levels and then go back and find all the other bits?

the next grozart, Tuesday, 28 August 2007 16:05 (eighteen years ago)

Yes. Buy the minikit detector first, then strong force. Finally go for invincibility iirc.

kv_nol, Tuesday, 28 August 2007 16:08 (eighteen years ago)

the next gen re-release is going to pwn

El Tomboto, Tuesday, 28 August 2007 16:19 (eighteen years ago)

Get Score X2 before invincibility, it makes True Jedi a snap to get in every level. Fast Build and Tractor Beam are also good.

abanana, Tuesday, 28 August 2007 16:31 (eighteen years ago)

That's true. Fast build is brilliant. Gad, the unlockables are so much better in the second trilogy. The first three suck in a way but only because there are less (ooh shiny) spaceship interiors.

Should I get the Complete Saga for Wii? It'll only cost me 6 bucks, but is it worth the time? I've heard good things so far.

Evan, Monday, 15 March 2010 04:47 (sixteen years ago)

YES

Sex Sexual (kingfish), Monday, 15 March 2010 04:52 (sixteen years ago)

Quit beating around the bush.

Evan, Monday, 15 March 2010 04:56 (sixteen years ago)
