Ned - Uwe just sent me this so you could always invest in his work. Why not? I like him a person and the film world needs more decent people.
IMPORTANT NEWS FOR ALL MAJOR COMPANIES AND FOREIGN BUYERS
The chance that there is soon no german money more available for Hollywood is 99%. Nearly 30% of HOLLYWOOD was financed with german money. So we will see LESS MOVIES in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
The BOLL KG has movies ready for delivery like ALONE IN THE DARK and BLOODRAYNE and movies like DUNGEON SIEGE (Budget: 55 Mio. US-DOLLARS), FAR CRY, HUNTER-THE RECKONING, POSTAL, FEAR EFFECT (all based on bestselling videogames) full financed and will be a MAJOR PLAYER now and in the next years.
It is YOUR wise decision to team up with BOLL KG now and to buy BOLL MOVIES in an early stadium. Everybody knows that all BOLL MOVIES are going worldwide out in wide releases including USA. BOLL is open for cofinancing and pre-buying offers.
German funds near shutdown
5 May 2005 6:12pm EDT - By Scott Roxborough
COLOGNE, Germany -- The German government's cabinet Wednesday approved a change in German tax law that would shut down the nation's film funds, the financing structure that pumps more than a $1 billion into U.S. productions annually. Those funds have helped finance such megabudget projects as "The Lord of the Rings" and "Alexander" as well as such indie films as "Monster" and "Prozac Nation". The new law, which will now go before the German parliament, would close a tax loophole that allows investors in film funds to write off their investment against taxes in the first year of operation. Under the proposed regulations, German taxpayers will be able to write off only their investments in film funds against proceeds from the same funds. A spokesman for the German finance minister said that the government hopes to fast-track the new law through the upper and lower houses of parliament and put it into effect before the summer
