The star of "Green Acres" passed away today at the age of 99. I could've swore that he had died in the mid-to-late eighties.

Of course, CNN just ran a graphic that made it seem like a former president was gone.

Which, come to think of it, isn't that far off.

Wow. I was *just* Googling him the other day.

Don't ask.

R.I.P. I loved him in 'Roman Holiday'.

I just hope an angel comes to him every morning in heaven and says "Oliver, your hotcakes are ready!"

Ken, don't you mean "flapsjacks"?

xpost - Yes, Kipling.

99. What can be said? Evidently, he was a pretty cool human being. He was decorated during WWII, worked with Albert Schweitzer and was a for real conservationist and of course Green Acres was classic 60s tv.

He was much more presidential as the Nixonian scumbag warden in The Longest Yard, the no-doubt-crappy Sandlerization of which he's just escaped any chance of seeing.

His "The Heartbreak Kid" perf is worth it just for the way he says "horseshit." Also search Aldrich's "Attack!"
