Help! Any Word experts out there?

I realise there are probably 3 million better places to go to ask this question, but I'm beginning to panic and I at least know you folks might give me a straight answer.

I have to hand my doctoral thesis in TOMORROW but these fucking TABLES are doing my head in!! Does anyone know why this is happening (see screenshots below), i.e. a table will just split in two and appear on the next page - nothing I try (and I've been trying for weeks now) will join these feckers up again.

Can anyone please please help? I'm sure there's an easy answer but I'm fucked if I know what it is.

This usually works;

Select the whole table.

Table > Table Properties > Choose 'Row' Tab > Uncheck the 'Allow Row to Break Across Pages' box.

Select the whole table except the last row.

Format > Paragraph > Check the 'Keep with Next' box.

Si, a million thanks - I don't understand why that worked, but it certainly does. Thanks again.

We've had similar problems with our students' coursework. I believe the first bit stops the table splitting in the middle of a row, and the second keeps all the rows together.
