Chocolate/strawberry combos = S/D

Do chocolate and strawberries REALLY go well together?

I've been giving this a lot of thought, especially whilst working my way through a box of Strawberry Flake Cornettos.

It seems wrong somehow to have strawberry flavour with chocolate - it doesn't have the easy partnership orange has.

Chocolate covered strawberries, if with fresh strawberries and dark chocolate, is food of the gods.

Artificial strawberry flavour i.e. "Pink Flavour" is an abomination and should not be combined with anything, especially not chocolate.
