If there are no old shoes in the closet, do your feet still grow?

So it is about to rain here and I was going to go to the pool via bicycle, so I dug out my teva sandals so as not to ruin my nice leather ones. Now, I haven't put the tevas on in, oh, 8 years probably (yet I still hang on to them!) and they seem a few millimetres too small. Or, more accurately, my FEET seem a few millimetres TOO BIG! I have heard that our noses and ears grow all our lives (and have more than a bit of fear about this), but what about our feet? I'm already a 10 (women's US)! Is it the arches' slow descent perhaps? Will I be wearing size 12s when I'm 50? Should I begin the foot-binding NOW?

Also, wtf, god these sandals are ugly.

This seems like a good question, but ask yourself this - is it a real one?

You only wear Teva's when no one else will see, like in Patagonia or something.

are you pregnant or have you been in the last 8 years? for some reason they mention in all the baby books that your feet will get larger, like this is the biggest deal to you at this time.

Yeah, I've heard that too - and, yeah, haha, "oh no, my feet will grow! Massive expansion of belly, pfft." But no, no pregnancies in my past. It might also be that once I hit my mid-20s I began to buy shoes that fit properly, so this is maybe really only a realization of that. Still though... It seems so REAL.
xpost - Sometimes I think my neighbourhood is Patagonia. Except with bass-beat honda hatchbacks and kids running around screaming at each other.

I am 49 and my feet grew a half-size over the summer. They do grow. And the nose. And the midsection. Yes! MORE OF ME!!!!

As your feet grow massive, just think of it as increasing your understanding. [old joke]

Does your chewing gum lose its flavor on the bedpost overnight?

It adds lovely flavor to the bedpost.
