If Jehova was the Hebrew God of war who talked to Moses from a burning bush on a hill unseen by anyone else and Moses was raised as the brother of Rameses II who's family's Patron was Set and as the second brother of Rameses he would have been trained as a Priest of said God don't that give an interesting twist to Judaism?

"For is a strange and fitful God who walks with storms and anger."

It was up in the air for awhile as to whether or not Moses was really raised by the family of Rameses II, but the scholars and archaeologists have reconcilled the information that it pretty much was right around that time give or take a pharoah.

Now I have heard that the second son was raised in the Priesthood of the patron deity. This has been debated as true and false, but none the less Set was the Patron diety of the Ramesside kings so if Moses should have had knowledge of Set.

So Moses needs to lead the Jews out of Egypt and he's having a rough time of it so he goes up on a mountain by himself, sits down and says, "What the f*ck am I going to do?" Then he realizes he could transmogrify Set as the God who will lead them to the promised land.

Jehova=an angry and fitful god of storms
Set=an angry and fitful god of storms

Moses turned his staff into a snake before the pharoah and Set is associated with snakes.

Jehova rains fire and ice upon Egypt and turns the Nile red. Red is Set's color and connundrums such as raining fire and ice are also associated with set.

Could it be that Moses was the a Setian Priest?

Also, Set was identified with the Hyksos and was known as Sutekh under Hyksos rule and some scholars believe the Hyksos, who (condensed version) were "Habiru," were racially akin to the Hebrews. The term "Habiru" looks a lot like "Hebrew" and it wouldn't be absolutely senseless to believe the Habiru people became the Hebrews of the Bible. In fact, it makes a lot of sense.

Set was the deity, one of the main ones at least, that Satan was molded from.

If this is true, Judaism just got a hell of a lot cooler. Conversion, here I come?

Can we get some mathematicians on thread? They might have something useful to add to this Set theory.

Set Theory = all Jehovahs are Gods, but not all Gods are Jehovah?

why does the thread starting post remind me of Jack Chick's bullshit claims about how communion wafers are really worshipping Egyptian gods, since he thinks they have "IHS" written on them(Isis, Horus & Set)?

kingfish completely hatstand (Kingfish), Thursday, 11 August 2005 15:24 (twenty years ago)

I don't know, but Jack Chick is a Christian, which according to this would mean he's really a Set/Satan worshipper, so it's a completely different thing.

Archeology doesn't have anything to say about Moses, I don't think there's archeological confirmation of any Biblical figures before some of the middle Israelite kings.

Relating the Hyksos to the Hebrews is a tempting stretch that most scholars warn against.

Oh really? Let's take a vote of all the scholars on the planet and we'll see who's right.
