my friend keeps sending me videos by that guy and I feel the same way, it's cool I guess but it's also really dorky and annoying. also he is clearly sampling his own voice and "playing" it like a keyboard using sequencing software, and calling that "a capella" bugs me. (or maybe it is just pitch-correction.) and the lipsynching. ugh.

This dude annoys me for some reason, even though I love that era of video game music he covers. Maybe what annoys me is the popularity of the videos doesn't seem to match the talent or effort - I made a similar cover of Ken's stage from SF a few years back that I thought was so easy and straightforward (maybe an hour of work) it wasn't even worth putting on youtube. So let's just boil this down to jealousy
