If I created an ILX Firefox extension, would anyone use it?

Say if I created a firefox extension, that with a click of a button, allows you to see the latest ILX posts in the sidebar, or a popup window, or something like that, would you use it?

If you made it Sean? Ha! No thanks. No offence but yr hardly the most trustworthy person to accept hand-coded widgetyjigs from.

You still think I made crappy bloated code objects? Hardly.

I'm still going to make it and publish it on mozdev though.

Entirely unnecessary when you can drag a live bookmark of the RSS feed into the toolbar.

How could this be better than RSS feed?

THEN WHY DO YOU FUCKING ASK? ;-)))

Would I use it? Probably not. I don't even use the RSS feed or whatever it's called.

Sociah T Azzahole (blueski), Tuesday, 16 August 2005 08:33 (twenty years ago)

Hell, I might use it. I'm a sucker for extensions.

J (Jay), Tuesday, 16 August 2005 11:41 (twenty years ago)

I use firefox, but I don't think I'd use a plug in.

mei (mei), Tuesday, 16 August 2005 11:52 (twenty years ago)

Search plugins are so easy you can make them yourself. It's either under the profile (under %APPDATA% on XP) or the Mozilla Firefox folder itself . Take a look at the existing ones and you can pretty much guess how to make them.

The RSS Feed might be sufficient, but it just gives the link and post title. I want more.

YES, BUT ILX SEARCH IS USELESS WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO USE MORE THAN 1 FIELD AND THE OPTION BOXES ETC.

If you build it, they will come.

Onimo (GerryNemo), Tuesday, 16 August 2005 19:25 (twenty years ago)
