In my time away from the internet - 8 months, lord help me! - bittorrent has elected to prevent me downloading more than 3 torrents at a time. given that most of the things i want to download manage around four megabytes a day and must be left months to finish, what program would anyone advise me, that will accept forty going at once?

I use Azureus, it has the handy ability to let you prioritize or de-prioritize (ie skip) files inside a torrent.

I don't know what the maximum number of downloads is, if there is one.

I like ABC

Downloading 40 torrents at once is not advisable given how BT is really depenendant on upload.

Have you made sure the BT ports are forwarded to your PC if you are behind NAT?

Today I bought a scalped seat in a court of justice for the first time in my life. The Pirate Bay courtroom was full. But locally famous Swedish author Sigge Eklund whispered in my ear that he had an offer for three seats after the intermission. The price would be about $60 each. We met in a corner of the hallway and finalized the transaction with three young men who were leaving. I was in! This pretty much captures the rock-star quality of The Pirate Bay trial.

Following the lunch break, proceedings continued with prosecutor Håkan Roswall failing to start up his computer. For several minutes, listeners of the live audio could hear mouse-clicks as Roswall, who earlier claimed to be an expert on computer crimes, tried to get his PowerPoint presentation on the screen. He was eventually ordered by the judge to stick to his papers and continue.

After being unable to prove in court that illegally distributed files had used The Pirate Bay site – despite clear markers in the files, which are labelled with the Pirate Bay name – the prosecution, representing a swathe of high-profile music and film companies including Warner Bros, MGM, Universal and EMI – had to abandon almost half the charges.
