Ok i was hoping there would already be a thread on this but i cant find one. went to see "Cesky Sen (Czech Dream) last night and eally enjoyed it. I liked the themes that i thought ran through it, and especially liked the bit where the ad dude was like "well maybe you filmmakers lie, but we in advertising never lie, i know its surprising!". i thought it was fascinating to get a brief glance into how a big marketing campaign would be run, and most of all, i though cesky sen (the hypermarket) was really well marketed! if they had actually opened a hypermarket, it would have at least had really nice packaging!
i liked it when hey said "you cant sell steaks for 50 crowns" and the film makers said "well, we're not business-men" instead of going "aha do you see its a trick". i thought they exposed themselves quite a bit in the film (not just in the hugo boss shop), and i admired it.
has anyone else seen it? in fact, i wondered if it wasnt all a sham, it seemed quie often as though the people in it weree juts actors, like the guy in the airtex shirt with the shades talking about going down to the czech sea, and they made an allusioon to that "all the agents are played by real agents, rather than just actors"

Not a sham, I lived in Prague when they did it. The city was covered by Cesky Sen posters before the "opening". Wish I'd gone...
